    Thumbs up Playdough

    PLAYDOUGH

    Bring to boil until dissolved:
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. salt
food coloring (or Kool Aid with dry ingredients)

    Then add:
    2 tbsp. salad oil
    2 tbsp. powdered alum

Mix into above solution while hot

    2 c. flour

Knead for 5 minutes while still warm. The playdough will keep up to 2 months in plastic bag.

This recipe is great and my kids played with it for hours on end.

This is a similar recipe that I'm trying today with my girls. I'll report back with results:

    2 1/2 c flour
    1/2 c salt
2 packages unsweetened Kool-Aid, any flavor
    2 c boiling water
    3 tbsp oil

Combine the flour, salt, and Kool-Aid. Add the water and oil. Stir to combine. Cool slightly, then knead with hands to form dough. Store in airtight container.
