    Homemade Bath Salts
    3 cups Epsom salts
    1-tablespoon glycerin
    2 drops perfume or cologne
1 to 2 drops food coloring (can be omitted)

Pour Epsom salt into a glass or metal bowl (plastic could stain). In another glass bowl or cup, mix glycerin, half the fragrance, and the food coloring. Stir salt, gradually adding glycerin mixture; mix thoroughly. If scent is not strong enough, add another drop or more of fragrance. At bath time, pour 1/2 to 1 cup salts into water. For a pretty gift, put salts in apothecary jar and place in a basket with a loofah, back brush and soap.

I've made this, it does make a nice gift!!

Thank you for adding this. I think I will try this soon.

I think it would make a great homemade gift for the holidays too.

Thanks for the bath salt recipe! That would make a really nice and inexpensive gift. I think I would put mine in some of the old Ball canning jars I have. Maybe put a cloth top on them. Would be cute in a basket too with some homemade soaps.

It's been a while, but if I'm remembering right we purchased the glycerin at Hobby Lobby. You could check Michael's or perhaps even a Walmart with a large Craft department.
