Save on dryer sheets
I got the tip on another site (I think). I took 1 container of liquid fabric softener and poured it into a large rubbermaid container. Then added an equal amount of water. Next, I took a 3 x 5 Cello sponge, cut it in half and added it to the liquid. Now, for each dryer load, I take out one of the halves, squeeze out most of the liquid and throw in dryer. I've been using this for several weeks, (family of 4) and you can't tell any has been used (I marked the full spot!) My laundry smells "gain" fresh and I'm saving money!

We have been doing this for 4 years now and it is great!
The only difference is we don't dilute our fabric softner........a 3.6 litre of the store brand fabric softner will last our family of 4 for 3 months and costs us about a couple of bucks.
The big jugs of fabric softner at Zellers called Truly, cost us about 8 or 9 bucks and last close to a year.
We don't dilute ours as we find the store brand works well with the way we do it........If I were to buy gain or downey name brand types I would dilute it though as they seem to be a bit stronger
