    Question Ideas for hm drink mixes like

    shakes and boosts.
    I have dry skim milk powder and starting in January Im going to make to have for Breakfast and Dinner, I'll make shakes.
    I usually put low fat p.b. and a banana in them sometimes or just a raw egg every second day instead of P.b. for meat alternative.
    Soya milk when i can afford it.
    I'm been keeping frozen bags of mixed fruit for me and kids fro breakfasts. It keeps me going longer till dinner then eggs and toast.
    I'll also put in fiber.


    any other ideas to put in shakes that are low fat and nutrtional.

    Hmmm...
    I can't really think of anything, but thought I'd bump this up for others.
    A bit of vanilla extract would taste good, not really add anything, though.

    thanks for the bump .hmm well Ill have to go online this afternoon and look for some ideas that healthy with them. I dont want too may carbs.

    1-1/2 to 2 cups ice water


    1-1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder

    2/3 cup sugar ( you don't need this much sugar at all !!)

    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1 to 1-1/2 trays of ice cubes, as much as you can spare

    2 tablespoons corn oil plus a 5-second squirt of non-stick spray for emulsification ( you do not have to use oil, but you could use saflower oil or Almond Oil)

    my kids favorite?
    yogurt, with frozen fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, and if i have it? protein powder, vitamen powders, instant breakfast by carnation or slim fast (all in powder form, always vanilla flavored just depends on the price, but i only use a little bit)

    and a strange idea i have not tried but seen on the movie *Benny and June* (early 90s movie) is peanut butter, with peanut butter captain crunch cereal with milk and a bannana

    you can find the sugar free kind - but even the regular has less sugar than kool-aid!

    (get those cool spiral sippy straws too!)

    Might want to try recipezaar's list for this. I did smoothies and low fat and pulled up 700 possible recipes. Site's free. Recipes are free and if you click on the bar and categories you will see Beverages with a + sign. click the sign and there is another category listed as shakes. It will let you search ingredients if you use the ingredient button too. Nutrition is on the side.

    I can't post it because I don't have 15 or more posts. however www then a dot com after the name recipezaar will yield it. click recipes. Categories will pop up on the next page and you will see beverages and the +

    Note: it also includes recipes for haircare, body lotions and household products on site too. That is under novelty the + and Non food items.

    I find the site very useful and a lot say they use it to save money. I just looked at popular recipes... They have body butter whip listed.. talk about timing.
