Thanks very much for sharing this information - I had wondered about #1 but had no idea about #'s 2 and 3! Agreed....very scary!! We have a $4 coffee pot from Walgreen's that we take along with us to Vegas, and now it will be going EVERYWHERE. It's a miniature one; I think the full size ones can be picked up as low as $10.

Why not plug your crockpot in in your vehicle? Our van has multiple "outlets" and we got an outlet converter plug at Target for $5. My dad doesn't like my mom to leave the crockpot running when they are gone
so she brings her crockpot in her car & plugs it in.
