    Default Mother Hubbard Meal Planning

My cupboards are bare, almost. I have a bag of rice, some flour and sugar left, and a few jars of potatoes and chicken stock. My freezer is empty. There are some condiments in the fridge.

So now I am sitting here trying to think of a 2 week meal plan which will not create any excess leftovers. Enough for the following lunch is alright, but no half empty jars or packages of ingredients. And trying to think of things that will use up some of the condiments we have, since we won't be able to take anything perishable or open.

It's an interesting challenge. Especially trying to come up with some things for the final few nights that don't involve any of my cookware or dishes, as I would like to have them packed by then. It would really be nice to have food packed for the road as well.

Any fresh ideas would be appreciated.

list everything you have... including the condiments

But, going with just what you listed...

    Flour + water+ salt = chapati bread <<< YUMMY

Chicken broth + rice = soup

Chicken broth + rice = Chicken Bouillon rice

I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I have no oven - just a toaster oven, microwave and stovetop

    This is what is left:
    Vegetable oil
Olive Oil - almost empty, will have no trouble finishing
    Balsamic Vinegar
    Red Wine Vinegar
    Cider Vinegar
    Flour
    White Sugar
    Brown Sugar
    Rolled oats
    Cornmeal
    Coconut
Small amount of baking soda, no baking powder
    Cocoa
    Icing sugar
    Lard
    Shortening
    Rice
    Canned chicken stock
Canned potatoes - will just cook on barbeque
    Relish
    Pickles
    Powdered beef stock
Tiny bit of ketchup - this will be gone
    Chili sauce
    Tiny bit of soya sauce
    Lime juice
    Lemon juice
    Maple syrup
    Mayonaise
    Tomato paste
    Jar of Ragu spaghetti sauce
    Spices
    1/2 jar peanut butter

We have eggs/milk/produce/bread and I'll buy more to see us through, as well as a bit of meat, probably hamburger.

If anyone can pull a no bake cookie or other treat out of any of that, I could make some for the drive.

I might break down and get some baking powder.

I will definitely try the cookies, they're perfect - easy and everything is on hand.

I might drop the tomato paste and ragu in the food bank bin, since they are unopened, and I don't like canned spaghetti sauce.
