A blinding glimpse of the obvious!
I was just fixing myself a very late breakfast (DH and DS are both still sleeping after DS had a rough night) and glanced at the area of my kitchen counter where I keep all my cookbooks, and I realized..."Holy Moly! I have a LOT of cookbooks!" I could seriously try one new recipe every week from a different book every week, and still not use all my cookbooks! I could cook a different dinner EVERY night for probably 5 years without repeating a recipe!
SO...my newly formed goal for myself is to use recipes from a different cookbook every week this year. Maybe this will help us in not eating out so much!May Goals:
Only $300 for groceries this month - $206/$300
Monthly coupon/valued customer savings = $14.08
No wasted food!
Stick to budget!
Track spending DAILY
Get checkbook balanced
Save $200 toward EF: $85/$200

This is an area that I need to get organized. I have lots of cookbooks and lots and lots of recipes that I have printed off the internet. I need to sort through and try some of these recipes. Also go through the cook books and find recipes we like. Then I would like to print them out on to index/recipe cards so they are nice and neat and easy to choose from.
I purchased some Avery postcards/index cards, but haven't found a good template to use for recipes. I want it to be rather plain and not use up a bunch of unnecessary colored ink.
