Hey, why not just make it? It takes about five minutes and costs very little. I just make it as I want it.
There are lots of recipes around and you can adjust as you like.
I take two egg yolks and add a little salt, pepper and mustard and a teaspoon or two of vinegar or lemon juice. If you have a sweet tooth you could add sugar I suppose, but I never do. Get about a cup of olive oil at the ready (or other kind of oil if you like), turn on the blender or start whisking, and drizzle in the oil. Go slow, especially at first. When it's as thick as you like, stop adding the oil. Taste it and adjust to get the flavour you want.
It's easy and tastes much better than any mayonnaise you can buy.

Good idea to make it - mahalo for the recipe!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

The dog food we get has gone up almost 20% in the last couple of months. I'm sure it is because of high gas prices since dog food is big/heavy to transport.
Our gas is up to $4.22. UGH!

I know what you mean about prices going up! Also now that I moved from central PA to the Hilton Head area, groceries seem pricier overall! There bananas were $.39-/$.49lb, here $.59/lb. There, the tea I bought was $2.29, here $3.49!! I rarely find apples here for less than $1.99/lb here, and somehow butter is nearly $4/box when in PA I got for about $2/box. Just a few examples I can think of immediately.
I think what I need to start working on is figuring out not just the cheapest brand/size of any particular item, but what kinds of foods are cheaper per serving than others (without getting unhealthy). Like, a certain lettuce may be cheaper than others, but is there another green veggie that's even cheaper than lettuce per the amount that we actually eat at a time? Is rice cheaper than pasta? What food is the best value breakfast? Etc.

I'm currently experimenting with sprouts. Growing sprouts gives a lot of bang for the buck, and nothing is going to be fresher than something I harvest right off my own drainboard. Therefore, the sprouts are also of higher quality than veggies from the store. And sprouting couldn't be any easier. I'm looking for and trying new recipes meant for sprouts, and also will be trying some types of sprouts for replacing lettuce at least part of the time. I don't see why mung bean sprouts couldn't make coleslaw just as tasty as that made with cabbage.
I don't plan to replace things like lettuce and cabbage with sprouts all the time, but some of the time would help cut costs and still give us tasty, healthy, homegrown foods.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Apples were up today... nothing less than $1.29 per pound. Apples are a staple here... hoping I can find a lower price at another store...

Last week, Kraft Mayo and Kraft Miracle Whip 30oz jars were on sale at Albertson's for $1.99 WYB 10 of a group of items. Well I had $.50 coupons for the mayo making them an unheard of $1.49, and I filled in the rest with $.88 Tony's pizzas, I was one "happy camper".

This week CVS has Stovetop stuffing for $.88. There are $.50 printables as well as SS coupons from this week. I missed the same sale 2 weeks ago, but won't this time! As long as I keep up with my stockpile, I should be OK, even with my low food budget.
Hang in there FV!
