Default June and July Meal Plan

Does anyone mind posting their June Meal Plan and if you have July's made up that would be helpful too. I always seem to draw a blank when it's time to make one. Thanks.

I only plan dinners Monday through Friday. Lunches are leftovers or pb&j or tuna. Weekends are leftovers or pb&j or whatever you scrounge up for yourself. Sometimes, if a meal didn't work out through the week and the meat is thawed, we will do that on the weekend.

The herbed parmesan sauce is just a white sauce with parmesan and Italian seasonings in it. Sometimes, that becomes mac and cheese instead (add cheese to the white sauce). I always make extra. The leftover herbed parmesan sauce becomes "cream of" soup for a noodle casserole and the cheese sauce becomes sauce for a potato casserole.

Anything listed as "potato" as a side could be mashed, fried, or baked. I will list is as something, but my "kitchen slave" (ie, child) decides how he is cooking them for dinner (refuse to send boys out into the world who can't cook).

Oh yeah, most of these things are already in my pantry. I will need to buy potatoes, rice, and noodles eventually. And, things like milk, buns, and bread are bought weekly or so.

Thanks Zakity. Your meal plans look good. You must be really organized if you already have August and September's meal plans finished. If you don't mind posting August and September that would be great. I used to do a monthly meal plan and it was always very helpful. Now I've just been winging it and with the cost of groceries going up, I thought that I should get back to it. Thanks again for your help.

Love to see menus for a month - I need to stick to a weekly one for now - based on sales of course!!

And, this will change. We are getting a 80 lbs of chicken breasts on Thursday. We are also buying another cow and it will come in August.

I make the menu plan from what I have in the house. When I buy something at the store, I add those things to the end of the menu plan list. When I make a bulk meat purchase, I sprinkle those things in throughout the menu.

I use Outlook to schedule our lives and I use it for the menu plan also. About Wednesday or Thursday, I look at the next week's schedule and see if what is planned will still work. If the week's meals can just be shifted around, I do that. If not, I look at the next few weeks to see if something can be traded out.

Oh yeah, usually, I do a huge inventory of the pantry and the freezers in January. Though, this last one was done on a December weekend and it was nice because it was warmer. Not freezing your butt off while your head was in a freezer was awfully nice. And, having my helper not whine about being so cold was really lovely also.

After I do the inventory, I go back through the menu plan and see if they match up. Sometimes, I just delete what is on the calendar and start over from my inventory sheet.
