Default Feeling good about my productive weekend

I spent some of yesterday and today cooking my brains out. With homeschool, a play, sports and Girl, Cub and Boy Scouts I need some things ready to go. I found hamburger for $1.77/lb so I got 10 pounds. I made 2lb of meatballs, two meatloaves, 2lb of taco meat and froze the rest of it browned in 1 lb bags.
Cooked two pots of beans and froze them so they are ready to go.
I made 10 dozen cookies. I've got snacks for Cubs and two soccer teams this week and the kids will eat the rest.
I made 2dozen cornmeal muffins and 2 dozen blueberry ones for breakfasts.
I roasted a sale chicken, picked the meat and made broth.
I made and canned 8 pints of salsa. Hopefully this will make getting dinner on the table much easier.

Wow! Thanks for the inspiration! And with all your kids , I think I'll double that wow. I'm totally impressed, and maybe just a little wistful.

I'd love to find the desire to do that, but the hot weather in Fl does nothing to inspire that in me. However, you will find me doing just what you did on our 1st cool day. Unfortunately.....that's gonna be about another 2-3 months from now! Why oh why did I move here? SIGH!! I wanna go home. I just love the fall on Long Island in NY. And I love cooking too. OK....now I feel like crying! ...lol!

    Great job joyofsix!
