    Default Polenta...."Best Before" question

I have a tube of Trader Joe's polenta marked "Best Before Dec 11, 2011".

From what I have read a best before date is about the qualify of the product but is not the same as an expired date for a potentially unsafe food.

So...would you try it or would you toss it? I know it is relatively cheap, I am just curious what others would do.
Right is right even if no one else is doing it. Wrong is wrong even if everyone else is doing it.

IF IT IS TO BE.....IT IS UP TO ME
The 12/12/12 project! Missed this target...but onward I go!

$24,202.77 Total debt due on 11/11/11.

$2,902.33 Total balance due as of 2/5/13 .
