Bountiful baskets....wow!!
I just participated for the first time in bountifulbaskets.org which is a co-op for purchasing veggies and fruit. The pick up for my area is 5 minutes from my house and what I received was amazing!!
The standard basket, which was $15 + $1.50 for a handling fee and a $3 basket fee (which is a one time only fee when you start) included:
Green onions
Small sweet multi colored peppers - a bag FULL
4 Anaheim peppers
2 english cucumbers
Bananas - rather green so will need to ripen for a bit
2 bunches of asparagus
Pineapple
Kale
Head of romaine lettuce
Small bag of carrots
5 mangos
6 oranges
13 apples
I also puchased the added on Asian theme veggie pack. That was an additional $8.50. This bag included:
bok choy
napa cabbage
green onions
2 yellow onions
garlic
thai basil
fresh ginger
8 fresh chestnuts
celery
Sugar snap peas
I would encourage anyone that is interested to visit their website and research if they are in your area. Bountiful Baskets rocks and I am hooked!Right is right even if no one else is doing it. Wrong is wrong even if everyone else is doing it.

I recently participated twice. The produce both times was subpar and more expensive than I could have bought shopping sales. I thought the first time was just an off week but the second time was half rotten. I tired contacting them about it and was utterly ignored.
I wanted to like bountiful baskets but for us, it was a bust.Vacation Fund $$ - 60/950
Bathroom Remodel $$ 0/500
New Front Door $$ 0/600
Pay Off Van $$ -3,060/9000
Pay Off Honda $$ - 2,500/4,250
Goal - Debt Free and Remodeled!

I was totally impressed too. I most certainly will do it again. The produce was lovely and much much more than I could buy in the store for that price. very pleased. Do you get that I liked it?
