Mid-Atlantic FV Get-Together - Anyone interested?
Ceashels and I are considering hosting the first annual Frugal Village Get Together sometime this summer, just NE up 95 from Baltimore, MD.
We are thinking about reserving a pavillion (cheap hopefully), and having a cookout/pot luck (frugal) with games, fun, and general socialization time.
We would like to get an idea about how many people would be interested in attending and meeting some of your fellow FVers in person.
Anyone wanting to attend from FV would be welcome, but since it'd be in Baltimore, I figured the Mid-Atlantic forum was the place to post this.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
Greebo(Nerd Spender): Loving and extremely patiently tolerated husband of ceashels.
WARNING: Y Chromosome behind the keyboard. Adjust your listening filters appropriately!
ThreeTwo mortgages, twooneno car loans, oneno credit cards, and a partridge in pear tree!

Sounds like fun! I'm about 6 hours away from Baltimore so it's definitely doable. We might be able to come so I'll watch this thread for updates

So, maybe we should ditch the idea?If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

I'd be interested but there's not a lot of response yet. I say, don't ditch the idea. Leave it out there for a few weeks and see what happens.

I may be able to come. It would of course depend on my kids and their sports. I am only about 1 1/2 hours from Baltimore, and dh is from there. Sounds like it could be fun

Definitely maybe. We're going to Indiana to see DH's sibs sometime this summer and I have a convention I do in Boston in July, so that's out. And, since I'm in New England, it's a bit more of a haul to get there.
I'm interested, but it's a maybe!
