I know there quite a few Michiganders here at the Village. What's the weather like in your neck of the woods? I'm in Muskegon County, not too far from Lake Michigan and we are a balmy 28 degrees today! Looking at 40 tomorrow, what about you?
Hi Kari, You're starting a snowstorm then ta-da!!! I'm further north, almost to Traverse City & we have a snowstorm moving up this way late tonight-midnightish for us, so sometime before that for you. I'm ready for Spring already.
Oakland County-just had an ice storm yesterday followed by rain and then a light snow. I love to wander and see the veiws but sad to see the damage people have to their property.
Livingston County here--hi, neighbors! We had the ice, too, which was gorgeous since we didn't have to go out in it, lol! We lost only one large tree limb and a bunch of small ones. Luckily, we didn't lose power--most around us did.
Here in Grand Rapids we had many without power and have had a LOT of snow, then freezing rain, then melting and now we hear they are calling for more snow. Gotta love Winter! :yippee::yippee::yippee::yippee:
I am in Oakland county and it is drizzling and roads are getting slippery here now. The temperatures are taking a nosedive tonight. Dh works outside and he has been on vacation all this past week. Tomorrow an artic blast and off and on bits of snow and he has to go back tomorrow. I feel bad for him in this cold.
I'm up here in da Yoop while we're at our cabin. Just got here a couple of days ago. We are in Mackinaw county, but very near the Chippewa county line. In a snow covered woods. Cozy.
We absolutely love visiting the UP in the summer time . We were up there this past June for 10 days and had a wonderful time. Anybody who hasn't made it to the UP doesn't know what they are missing...
Still in Muskegon County here . I live in a small village called Twin Lake. We should be called Quad Lake since there are 4 lakes within walking distance. We are under a "winter weather advisory" for today...ugh!!! I think Mother Nature is trying to get even with us for all the complaining from the past years about not having snow for Christmas....she can quit any time now. Hope everyone has a great day!
ain't it funny, things are the same as they were in the winter of 2010 when I think this thread started-it's still snowing!! Up near Traverse City here. Northern Lower. I am so over winter it is not funny. This one has been bad bad bad bad bad. The sub zero, the frigid, the things freezing, the snow like we used to get snow....ugh. I remember Autumn, never dreamed this was coming. I hate it.
Ann Arbor 1/2 year and Florida 1/2 year. I was born and raised in AA.
I'm in FL now and it is in the 70s in Jacksonville. AA I don't even want to look but I know it's been cold since I left.
Yes, thank goodness for warmer weather! It was such a joy to go out and walk the dogs in just a hoodie today! I pretty much never want to see my winter coat again, lol!
