I posted this in the regional section, but anyone can reply.
I moved here and saw hey I can turn left on a flashing red. Cool! Couldn't do that in NY. *LOL*
What do you think of when you think MI?

When I was young I thought that half of tennessee lived in Mighigan (they all came up to work in the factories in the 50's and 60's) , until I went to school and they made fun of the way I talked. I remember fruit stands and drive-ins and the A&W stand where we went to get rootbeer floats (yes, with the tray on the car door).
Now all I see are strip malls and fewer farms and so much traffic I long for a trip to the woods where I grew up. Not much but we had 3 acres that my parents sold about 3 years ago. Had that old tree that was great to crawl up in when life sucked, miss that.
Mostly I see, and this is probably worldwide, ppl that don't hold doors open for women or older folk. People that have no manners, were never taught them and probably don't even realize they are rude. Ok, what a rant! Where the heck did that come from? lol
I do like michigan, really I do, but sometimes I just wish the development would stop. Anyone feel this way? =}
