We get an extra $137 a month. If dh gets his E-9 then it goes up by a little over $200.

We're plus $163. Nice! Thanks for posting.

We went up around $100 but this area REALLY needed it. We ended up buying a house because I was not going to pay $1300 to rent one when $900 would pay a mortgage.
DH picked up this month though, so it SEEMS like we're getting an extra $200 in BAH alone. For that, I am very happy. It's going straight to the house.
Our BAH is finally sitting well over our mortgage. It would actually pay for all of our utilities and our mortgage, but since we're doing fine with the utility-paying, that extra money is just going to pay off the mortgage quicker.
I almost fell over when I saw the rates, I am SO happy about it.______________________________

Yup, BAS goes up to around $310 for enlisted and $220 for officers. So it goes up around twenty bucks either way. I'm not for sure on that, but it's the rumor.
Also 3.9% pay increase for 2009 - ends up not being much, but it's something!______________________________

Gahhh! Since I live overseas, it doesn't effect me since we only get the amount we pay in rent. BUT our utility allowance did go up this year- I hope it goes up next year too!
Although our COLA went down $400 this month

The only time that we get this is when dh is TDY, it helps. The next TDY that he is going on will be for three weeks instead of the normal two, but hey that will help.
On a side note, DH is up for a promotion in the guard and a promotion at his tech job.
