    Voting to Help Troops!

    The Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology is currently in the running for a $50,000 dollar grant. Their goal is to provide Lasik to every soldier who needs it before the fall deployment to Afghanistan.

    Due to the fine layer of sand ('moon dust') that covers everything in Afghanistan, soldiers cannot wear contacts. Glasses can provide a combat risk such as limiting perpiheral vision, sun reflecting off them can give away positions, etc.
