    Default I am looking for a marine pen pal for my 12 yo son

    My son has wanted to join the armed forces since he was 4 or 5, has NEVER wavered from the goal, he has been hellbent on joining the Marines these past few years. I am hoping to find a young man or woman who wouldn't mind mailing or emailing him 4 or 5 times a year, just general short chit chat about what it's like to be a marine, how they decided to become one, things like that. It would mean the WORLD to him- our brave Marines are his absolute Heroes, and it's not a passing phase! In return they would get utter Hero worship in the form of an almost 7th grader who thinks they hung the moon themselves! Thanks!

    I think baronmom, a military wive here on FV, is also a momma to a Marine. You could PM her and see if her son would be willing to write to your son.

    If that doesn't work, Ehow has a post with some great suggestions.
