    Default Best. News. Ever.

SO. Last Monday, after Zac's drill, he tells me that we have important news to discuss.

We knew all along that because his ETS date was Sept 17 2011, that he was going to have to be sent home a month early from the deployment. (Contract was up, no more stop loss.)

He got pulled into a meeting with his company commander and first sergeant and was asked if he wanted to reenlist. Zac said, "Eff no." They then asked if he wanted to deploy and he said, "Eff no." To which they said: You aren't.

The squadron commander would not allow Zac to go on the deployment unless Zac voluntarily extended the contract. After a week of going back and forth on his options, Zac decided to sign a waiver stating he is declining his opportunity to deploy. Company commander says this is 100% certain he is staying. If they try to change it at the last minute, we file an IG complaint.
