Very fitting quote
We received a letter in the mail from the PD today, inviting us to an awards banquet and ceremony. It contained a quote that I felt was very, very appropriate for all of us military families as well.
"They also serve, who only sit and wait." John Milton.
The sacrifice of military families is often unappreciated except by the person it means the most to--your service member. Just thought this quote was a nice little recognition of that.McD

I like it, too. We made the choice, of course, but the kids don't and I really doubt they understand the sacrifices they make. Mine don't, at least. I'm not sure they even realize that not everyone's dads go away for months at a time.

Apparently our chief at the PD, paraphrased a bit. The true quote is actually 'They also serve, who stand stand and wait."
Either way...love it.McD

Thank your service personnel for me, please.
