Ft. Lewis??

My DD and SIL and the grandbabies are headed to Ft Lewis Washington in Apriil...this is their first PCS and are a little afraid of the changes coming their way...they are used to mom and dad and brothers being a couple of hours away, now we will be a couple of days away!! It will be sad for us, but hopefully good for them...anyone been there and can share some things for them to look/look out for??...they are used to the way we do things in Texas...I am afraid they are in for culture shock! Thanks in advance!

I've never PCS-ed (NG family) but I know some of the other ladies on the board have. I did a quick google search and came up with all these results :

I've been there. Lots to do there! The internet makes PCSing much smoother now. Check out yahoo and FB groups. I also like Meetup.com (no not a singles site). They have lots of play groups and mom's groups, stuff like that.
