I got an email from him today. It is a little disturbing to me. Here is a little bit of what he said.

Well I am back.I waited to write because did not want you to tell the ladies that we got hit with an IED and small arms the night I came home.(back to Fallujah) We are all ok.I am a little harder of hearing in my right ear but it is slowly coming back.It was a long ride home.We were all really tired and worn out.I had about 5hrs of sleep in 2 days and when I got back I got another 3 before I had to go debrief.So I had a total of 8hrs in 3 days until I got a whole night sleep.You want to talk about tired.And here is something rather funny.We had a passenger in my truck and I was worrying about him and knocked my M16 off and it got run over by a humvee.It works fine

So, as you can see, I am really anxious to talk with him. I hope that he calls me tomorrow. He said that he was going to try and call soon. Thanks for everyones prayers so far. Keep up the great work because as you can see, he needs all he can get.

Here is a new picture that he sent me. Boy does he look tired.

Thanks for listening. Sometimes I just need to vent a little. The stress will get to me if I don't.

Traci -

Sweetheart....as you well know an IED can be just about anything....small arms fire is a scary thing, but at least you know he's safe....lack of sleep is common honey....to be honest - he looks like every NCO I know when they're over there....his M16 should be fine - might need new handguards, but fine nonetheless....

Sweetie - I wish I could just give you a great big hug right now....

I realize how trite it sounds - but please, try not to worry....you're hearing from him....
GW was on his way back from Baghdad before I heard from him....

Send him a ton of love & hugs from Ft. Bliss....we're still praying for him sweetie - and you - and the boys....

Traci, I wont even pretend to know what to say. I appreciate the sacrifice that your family makes to keep mine free.

I know that he is in good hands. He has been with the Marines, and they have been taking good care of them. I have not gotten a call from him yet, but I know that he will call in the next day or two. I am just anxious to hear what happened. He has been pretty faithful about calling every 3-4 days. I talked with him on Tuesday so I figure maybe today or tomorrow. Thanks again for all the prayers. I try and keep everyone here in mine as well.
