to follow in the footsteps and join the military??

My ds wants to join the Navy or the Army. Depending on who's standing in front of him.....lol.

History:
My dad was ARMY...
My FIL is an active duty 2-Star in the Navy...
My DH is active duty ARMY & on his way to OBC...

My eldest (Katie) wants to go into the Air Force (she wants to be a Culinary Genius!)...
My only son (Will) wants to join the ARMY as a Chaplain (he's studying to be a Priest)...

My youngest two (Belle & Renee) want to be a Nun & a Burger King drive-thru gal respectively!!

What's the Military link in your family?!

My father was Army -- retired now!
And dh is a Navy Seabee.

Ds is at that easily influenced age and his friends have decided that Army is "cooler"....go figure!

Well, one of mine had wanted to go into the Navy or Airforce before all of this stuff happened in Iraq and Afganistan. However, after seeing one of their friend's fathers National Guard Unit called up and sent to Afganistan for a year and the toll it took on their friend and then having one of my former students recently killed in Iraq, he has now changed his mind. He was thinking about becoming a JAG officer but is now going to go the non militarty route and become a civilian lawyer instead. Our family has a long history of military service including West Point Graduates and Instructors, Army, Navy, Navy SEAL and people in the military all the way back to the Revolutionary and Civil War.

So I have:
1 Lawyer
1 Landscape Architect
1 Youth Pastor/Computer Programmer
