Another soldier safely home....
I don't post much, as I tend to be a lurker (shy)...but just wanted to give up thanks for another soldier home safely from Iraq!!! Actually....many more. My daugher and 300 others have arrived safely in the states for demobilization at Ft. Lewis! There are still about 2000 others in the unit on their way....
I think this is the first full breath I have taken in a year!
She is due *home* on Friday night. The yellow ribbons and banners are up and waiting. And I will ceremoniously remove the "Half my heart is in Iraq" bumper sticker from my jeep.

A good friend of my Sons came home a few weeks ago. He is finished his tour with the Marines. Enjoy yourself, and get a good nights sleep. Hug your daughter for all of us.

Awesome news! It is great to know that another group is coming home. I too know that feeling of finally being able to breathe. It is like a giant weight lifted off of your shoulders. Enjoy your time with her when she finally can come home. Of course tell her Thank You for her service.

That is great news. Say a prayer for the 2000 familys that were not as fortunate.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
