My son is deployed, and left his wife here, living with my older son and his girlfriend.

My husband was in 2004-2005. He was in Iraq for 14 months. I feel for you. I have been there and done that. Hang in there! Mine also did not come home for R&R, so he truely was gone the entire deployment. If you need to chat, I am here.

Mine will hopefully be home next month, he has been gone 17 months so far. Our kids are so different now then when he left. Our son was barely talking and walking, now he is a little man LOL!! It has been a long time, and we are really looking forward to getting to know eachother again and adjust to having him home Good luck, I know it is hard, but it does seem to go quickly even if it seems like he will be gone a lifetime.

My husband is in the Coast Guard and he is leaving next week to break ice down at the south pole. He will be gone for 5 months. This is the first time for me and our 2 kids. Happy to have found other military families. ~Amy

I am a Gulf War Vet. I just wanted to extend my appreciation to all of you for all you give to our nation, the support you give to those who are away from home at this time.

It is a very hard job you have and under-appreciated by many.

Thank you very much. I hope your family members return home to your loving arms very soon.
