DH's is deployed

Anyone else on their own for a while? Dh will be gone to Poland for a month of training. I guess that is ok. At least he is not off fighting yet. Who knows what will happen in the future?

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! I am used to him going away but still wish he didn't have to go! This will look good on his record though!! He is in charge of all the medics! I am so proud of him!

My DH just got back from 6 month deployment. My baby was only 8 days old when he left. It is so hard to try to take care of everything by yourself. If you ever need to talk or anything, e-mail me. And by the way, you should be proud of your DH, he is doing a great service to our country, as are all our military men. :0)

My husband just got called up for a year of active duty. Right now
he's stationed in DC, but that could change with a war. God Bless! Julie

Hi, I'm currently in Europe and new to the group. Do you have access to a military installation? If so have you gone to the Family support center or if Army the ACS? They can do video conferenceing and DH can call home for FREE! I know my DH did a stint in Saudi. Hang in there, he'll be home in no time. BTW he is bringing you some Polish Pottery back?

Poland is pretty low key. They are really trying to get NATO status and EU status. And I haven't heard any hot issues coming from that area.

Are you or your husband stationed in Europe? I am not new to this deployment thing but this is our first since we got to Germany. He will be home on Friday! YAY!

Yes we are in the KMC, for the moment. Heading back to the US 1 November! Where are you stationed? No deployments until now? We arrived in Germany Nov 98 and DH went Jan- Jun 99, then little trips here and there. Granted being AF has it's advantages and he's been home more than most. Were in England from 95-98 and it seems he was gone more. Glad to hear your DH is heading home. Take care.

I hope you all don't think that only the men are doing a service for there country. I am currently in the USAF. There are alot of women in the service as well however we seem to be forgotten. The Secretary of the Air Force came to our base and thanked all the Gentlemen for there help. Please don't forget that there are alot of women who in all branches and jobs fight for this country everyday.
