Moody Monday 7/14
~What's everyone doing today? I'm starting my day by sheet shopping online. I'm buying a higher thread count this time and hoping they'll last longer than 2 years before becoming threadbare, holey and ripped. I always have cleaning and sewing to do. I also think I'll pull out the sculpy dough and have the kids help me make beads. Just staying at home today and trying to get some stuff done. But ds got me up at 6:30 this morning so I'm kinda moody. And sleepy.....~

The kids are back from their visit with their dad so we are focusing on unpacking from this weekend's move. I have to work but will be mowing the yard when I am done. Time permitting, we will stop by the home store to buy new locks and a trash can for the outside of the house.

I have a long list started for the day...and without getting up to get it, I know I have to vacuum the house, I plan on putting the kid's winter clothes away (believe it or not...they are still in their drawers) and other minor things.
Nothing too major today!

I had to get up early this morning, and rush around, to get the two oldest to their day camps. So, I'm home with the two youngest and am looking at a disaster area in the kitchen to tackle this morning, followed by a good cleaning of the two bathrooms. It is supposed to be cloudy with rain showers all day, so my motivation to do much is pretty low. Maybe, during nap times I may finish knitting a sock I have been working on.

Having a crappy Monday following a crappy Sunday which followed a crappy Saturday.
Woke up on Sat. am and BF used toilet and almost overflowed. He plunged and it slowly went down, but waste came up through the shower drain. Couldn't reach apartment maintenance.... to come and fix it and figured we wouldn't till Monday am. So much for a shower Saturday am, but went to campground to have cookout with his family and took shower there after swimming. Got too much sun and got sunburn, so had chills with alternating hots all night along with some mild nausea so I didn't go to church Sunday. Still toilet waste coming up through tub on occasion. BF scrubbed tub with bleach and took shower on Sunday, but I sure wasn't going to. I just had sponge bath.
Had horrible argument with people staying with us (temp. till they found their own place). Seems they didn't like the house rules and chose to disrespect me and BF in our own home. They threatened to leave and we told them to not let the door hit them in the rear-end on the way out. They even called the church to complain they no longer had a place to live. I'm sure now we're the 'bad guys' for putting an 18 yo and his 60-something yo grandma on the streets, but there's just some things I will not tolerate and one of them is disrespect in my home. Our house, our rules.... if you live with us, you abide by them or leave. They're not outrageous, but we're firm. We've been used and taken advantage of so long and will not tolerate it.
They did find someplace to stay.... a neighbor guy who lives 3 bldgs. down from us. I don't know him very well, and I think they'll be safe. I pray they are.
Anyway, it's Monday am.... have a ton of laundry to do and can't because of toilet/tub/sewer issue. Ugh! I have a call in to maintenance and I hope they get here this morning. They aren't the 'speediest or smartest' when it comes to repairs so even if they get her now, it probably won't be fixed till late afternoon.... seems they always have to go for a part, or don't have the right tools, etc. Ugh!
Enough or my rant....
Hope everyone has a good week.Kim

No big plans for today. I think since it is nice outside, I will see if the kids would like to try to make pinatas. I just need to get all my old newspapers together.
Later, I have to finish planning for a trip that we are taking in two weeks from NY to SD. I am a list maker, so I need to get my lists of things to do, things to buy, things to pack, etc all done so that I can get organized in my head.

Biked this morning, changed the linens, and then took my niece to the bus... she is going away to camp. I plan on stopping by the cleaners, grocery shopping ,and then coming home and working on my flowers. Have a nice day everyone!!

I'm hoping for a better week than last week. Yesterday I started the laundry and today have a couple more loads to hang up. Wanted to give the dog and cats a flea bath (we think fleas are Sasha's problem now) but went out to the coop and found a cold baby chick. Brought it in to try and save. Also need to vaccuum the house and hopefully sort thru things in the basement to sell.

Hi Y'All, Had a very nice weekend following a very busy week and a half! All four of my grown up girls and their families were here from out of state. That includes 7 grandkids! They didn't stay with me but my usual routine was pretty much busted. Though my DH and I dearly love to see them all, we are worn out! Spent Saturday out of town visiting friends who are older too. Then spent a wonderfully quiet Sunday at home inside out of the heat with quiet music playing in the background and puttering around. God knew what He was doing when He decided to give children to YOUNG people!!

It stormed pretty hard last night, so there's no lawn work in the books today for me. I'm glad I got the shasta daisies grouped up and tied with some weed trimmer line because gosh, they were just all over the place. It's supposed to be pretty stormy all day long, so today will be a relaxation day. I didn't have anything huge to do because most of the housework gets done on the weekend. Hopefully the kids will be good enough today to keep me from going nuts.

I had to get up EARLY this morning. Dh had to be to work really early so I had to take dd to summer school at the buttcrack of dawn

After I picked her up from school I had to pick up some film, get some milk, and order her birthday cake.
Now I'm trying to convince myself to do some laundry & pick up the house a bit. Needless to say, it's not happening yet lol.

I had a busy weekend, so I plan on taking it easy today. I got up before DS and took a cool shower because I felt so gross from sleeping. I have laundry to put away, and I have some leftover french bread (the one I got for free) that I'm going to throw in the food processor and make bread crumbs to put in the freezer. I haven't bought bread crumbs in a while thanks to that!
Other than that I'll just hang out with DS. I want to do a craft with him. I thought maybe making a shaker out of a TP roll and some paper. He loves to make music and sounds! If I'm feeling up to it we might even walk over to the playground in the apartment complex. We'll see.

I woke up kind of late today and was overly tired, not sure why, went to bed at a decent hour. Had to go to the post office to ship some orders and went into etsy to work on my shop. It's the kids nap time right now, so I'll get some cleaning done while they are down.
