2-9-09 What's the game plan?
I for one am hopeing for a relatively normal day. There hasn't been one here since somewhere around the first week or so of the year. We were all down sick shortly after the year started, my aunt having a quadrouple bipass, then the ice storm hit and were the young'uns both in the neighborhood and the family. ...... well let's just say I'm focusing lots of energy on getting things back to routine. Power still seems to be touch and go but I think yesterday it might have come back on for good. (I actually lost power while posting to the what's going on Sat. thread. I wonder if it posted?
)
For today
~ work
~ cook dinner
~ work on DH's gift
Well scratch that. Didn't even get it all posted yet. It's not going to be a normal day. Mom just called and she's sitting in the ER with Dad. He's having chest pains (low in the chest and to the side)that come and go. He walked in on his own though so I'm going to hope its a pulled muscle. She's going to call back in a bit and let me know what's going on with it so I can decide whether I need to head that way. In the mean time I'll wander the village to keep myself busy.
Hope everyone elses's day is starting out better.

Oh no! I hope everything works out with your Dad in the ER, and everything returns to normal today for you!
My day should be pretty boring! Here is what I've got planned:
~Take kids to school
~Get laundry caught up from the weekend
~Do dishes from dinner last night (Just didn't have the energy last night)
~Pick up DS from preschool at lunchtime
~Pick up DS from school at 3:30
~Pick up DH from work later in the afternoon
~Might clean up and run the vaccuum
~Check and put oil in the truck
~Might even clean out the truck since it is going to be warm!
~And might try to get out and take a quick walk before it rains!
~Try shovel what little snow/ice is left at the end of the driveway
~Figure out what is going to be for dinner tonight~ Might be pork tenderloin if I can get it thawed out!
We'll see how much I get done!

It is supposed to be a nice warm day, with the chance of rain.I have already worked out to my tape(I found the old 80's workout- Buns of Steel with Greg Smithy, what a hoot!)and I have started linens and finished up the pet chores.I have a hair appointment this morning, then this afternoon I am going to clean the garage fridge, sweep out the garage, clean the bathroom out there, and work in the yard.I am also going to make some guacamole to go with supper.Have a friend stopping by after her work to bike. This evening will be supper and relaxing. Hope this is a fine day for all.(RN- I hope for good news about your dad.)

Hope your dad's pain turns out to be nothing serious.
My day looks fairly routine, I hope:
Clean the master bath.
Work on at least one of my needlework projects for the challenge.
Hope the ice storm warning we'll be under in another hour is a false alarm.

As for me:

I hope your dad's problem is minor and easily fixed!
What I'm hoping for today is to put more back around/in my new kitchen counter and my usual Monday a.m. task, cleaning DH's office, as he works away from home those mornings. (Usuallly he's here....)
Aside from that, I have to find the envies for my SIL and add yesterday's coupon cache to her to the last one, weed out the Jan. stuff from the first one. (Since the operation, nothing happens when I expect it to anymore, so when I pulled these for her it was still Jan.)
I need to (as always) do some filing and work in my office too.

I hope your Dad is OK, Rooted Nomad!
It's so nice outside that Zippy and I spent extra time at the dog park today. It helped that his favorite dogs were there, too.
On my list for today:
Finish laundry
Clean up kitchen
Do up a couple of dishes
Bake maybe?
Vacuum
That's about it for me
