2-16-09 What's everyone up to today?

It's sunny but cold here. The kids are in school because they had to make up a snow day.

So far I have:
-showered
-cooked breakfast
-got the kids off to school
-worked this morning
-checked out what's going on at FV
-making myself some tuna for lunch
-2 loads of laundry so far
-listening to DR podcast while I clean
-loaded the dishwasher and wiped down the counters

Yet to do:
-need to sweep and mop the kitchen
-vacuum the living room
-finish up laundry
-leftovers for supper
-going to start a new book tonight ("Big Stone Gap")

I'm off work today. It's a good thing because I'm not feeling well and running a fever. I have to take my son to an orthopedic appointment to have his finger re-xrayed. He was bit by the neighbor's dog. The dog bit through his finger and splintered the bone. There was no skin on the backside of his finger to stitch. It has been healing on its own. He's had to wash it with soap and water every day and re bandage it. It took days and days for it to stop bleeding and oozing. I know TMI. Then I'm coming home to go back to bed.

My kids are both home today for President's Day. We haven't done too much!

Here is what I've done:
~Got DH to work
~Looked at some cars online
~Spent almost 90 minutes at the gym
~Got kids breakfast and lunch
~Took DH his lunch at work
~Started laundry

This afternoon I need to:
~Get the kids to the dentist at 2:00
~Do some dishes
~Get pork tenderloined seasoned and in the oven
~Pick up DH from work
~Test drive a Durango at 5:30
~Finish up laundry

And I think that is about all I'm going to try to accomplish today. I'll do some general "picking up" later this afternoon. But with the kids home, that is a tall order!

I have been in meetings all day...I get off at 4:00. When I get home I have to clean up the kitchen before I make dinner. (I was too lazy to do it last night) After I make and clean up from dinner I need to do a load of laundry. Once I get that in I will be free for the rest of the night. I did so much cleaning/organizing over the weekend that I have nothing to do this evening...how wonderful! lol

I had my first appointment with the PT. Just questions, and measurements of how far I can straighten the arm. Then I got a workout in. I haven't done that for weeks. I couldn't set the machines for my workouts. With the cortisone shot I can do some of them now. yay! Now I have figure out what to make for supper and clean up the kitchen and then make hubby's lunch for tomorrow and get the coffee pot ready and then I can watch Jon and Kate plus 8. That poor guy...I swear. * shaking head*

The kids and I went out with my grandmother today. Helped her at Sam's club (and bought a few things myself that are cheaper there than elsewhere in town), went out to lunch, faxed some paperwork for DH, and made a run by the grocery store. Not frugal or fun, but we got our stockpile built back up a little. I'm doing absolutely nothing else except washing the dinner dishes.
