2/23/09--waz' up?
Just made a big breakfast, since DS is flying out this late morning for CA, to look for a place to live.
Going to the post office to mail something to DS#2 that he needs pronto.
Then out to my dad's apt. to clean for him, and see if he has a grocery list for me to shop for him.
Take-out tonight.

DH is off to meet his boss, a customer, and a programmer this a.m. Then he'll go to a 2nd customer's site to be sure everything is going as it should.
In the meantime this a.m, I've filled the olive oil/dish soap containers (we buy bulk), ironed 3 of DH's shirts, the dish towels, some of the napkins, and swept the front entry.
If the vacuum is upstairs, I'll vacuum up here, otherwise, it'll wait til later this week. Also, I think I'll start bake bread this a.m. With the freezer all cleaned out, I've got room for the 2 loaves I'll bake, and we don't need them at the moment.
Also, I have to go through yesterday's coupons, I haven't yet.

The crockpot is full of our favorite potato chowder for dinner. I'll bake some beer bread later. The laundry room is getting a workout today, trip to Sam's later, then we're making our first batch of homemade ice cream in the new machine. Tomorrow is DS's bday, so I need to wrap a few gifts.

Laundry, dishes, the usual stuff...trying to stay warm we have quite a bit of snow that accumulated over the weekend! But, I just keep telling myself Spring is on its way....

Up with the kids today starting the day and their lessons. I fed 2 of the 4 breakfast already. 1 is making her own and my little one is down with a cold and still sleeping. Starting up the washer right now to wash our bathroom stuff and then I'll get the boys laundry done and then I'm done for the week.
We aren't going anywhere today, because of the rain and hubby went in early, so hoping he'll get home a little early tonight. Got to marinade the chicken and make a salad for lunch for the kids today.

One of the weird days at work - it's a holiday, but the library is open until 5:00 anyway, and I (nearly) always work those shifts. What holiday? Mardi Gras. Yeah, I know. Our "Fat Tuesday" holiday is on Monday, but we do like our long weekends! So I'm at work. Fortunately, one of the other librarians opened it at 7:30 so I could come in later since I worked til 11:00 last night. I got here about 9:30.
So, make it through the day until 5:00, then go home and do -- nothing. Probably read a novel or crochet. I've worked long and extra shifts, and I'm plumb tuckered out as they used to say.Donna

I worked this morning. The kids are at school, so now I have a few hours home alone, yay! Just loaded the dishwasher and wiped down the counters. I need to sweep and mop (as usual) and there is always laundry to do, but this sinus infection is kicking my butt so I think I may try to take a nap instead. Chicken is thawing for supper, not sure what I am going to make with it.
Have a great Monday everyone!DJ

It's been a relatively quiet day. Did lessons, dishes, picked up a little. I still need to pick dd up from school, take her to drop off job applications, take other dd to the mall, make dinner, and get a shower.

Just enjoying my Lundi Gras with my little one. Will probably pick up laundry and that's about it for today other than the normal daily stuff.

I'm staying home all day and night. Need to get dd's room cleared out. We bought bunk beds, and they will be delivered and set up this coming Saturday. SO, room needs to be emptied. LOL.
Then will be moving furniture around in our room, to accomadate my new tv.
Other than that, nothing exciting going on here. LOL

I had a quiet but long Monday at work. Just seemed to drag forever. Called a guy about some hardwood laminate flooring he's selling, made an easy dinner (chicken o's and leftover mac and cheese ... I am in 3rd grader mode), put up some laundry, and so far that is IT.

I have the day off and it's a good thing, I came home last night feeling like a Mack truck ran over me and then scooped me up and dropped me off the side of a mountain. I have the body aches, sore throat, plugged up ears, and deep chest cough. I'm eating chicken/noode soup, taking Dayquil/Nyquil, and sleeping. I'm going to roll in Vicks vapor rub when I go to bed.
