Miserly Monday 5/18
Good morning.
I didn't sleep well last night. I was worried about Kathryn whose fever was 101.7 when she went to bed last night.
I need to call the orthodontist today about getting a replacement retainer for Lauren. I am really hoping it won't cost a lot.
Kathryn is home sick today, and I'm sure we'll be napping at some point.
Other than that I just have the usual housekeeping to do today.
Have a good day everyone.

Is this the thread for today? LOL
Today, I'm going to do some laundry, run to Walmart, then just pick up around the house and read. I need to start crocheting an afghan, maybe I'll start that today!

Awww I hope your baby feels better! Today I have to work until 2pm. Then I'm coming home to do laundry, laundry and more laundry, also some general picking up around the house. At 2 I'll be getting my dinner started as well...Need to get some bread baked, and maybe some sort of snack for the kids school for the week. I also need to clean my oven...Yuck...what a gross job! I hope the sun peeks out a little today...it's cloudy and cold right now! Hope everyone as a great day!

Busy day - we ate out of the pantry and freezer last week, so I really need to grocery shop. It's DDs 14th birthday, so we need to go to the electronics store to purchase her gift, a drawing pad that she uses to post her artwork online (don't ask me how - that's the explanation I got), 2 hour swim practice, finish up Algebra so we can be done with school for the year, finish planting flowers. I'd love to sneak off to the Indianapolis Indians game tonight, but probably not. I LOVE minor league baseball - it's fun and oh so affordable.
I should crack the whip about having the house ready for our upcoming open house, but since it's Kathleen's birthday, maybe I'll wait until tomorrow.

Michelle sweetie, you must really be tired. Today is May 18. I remember someone doing the same thing a few weeks back. I won't name my name though.
Hope you get some rest. I'm spending a quiet day looking for fiancee's divorce papers so we can get married next month. He's working nights this week so my days off will be filled with quiet activities. Very boring when I think about all the things I could be getting done while making lots of noise. I have to go through and clip coupons, figure bills, do some decluttering in the office/ junk storing room, and put yesterdays dishes away. Once I get fiancee off to work I can make some serious noise doing clothes, dishes, and running the sweeper. Sometime in there I just may fix dinner.
Mary, I use to love going to the Indians game when I lived in Indy. I'm now watching the losing Cleveland Indians.

Doors and windows OPEN because a little front came through yesterday and it is only supposed to get up to 80 today, BUT the humidity is VERY low. Got a load of laundry going (will hang to dry), have to take packages to PO and FedEx, do my 30 minutes on the treadmill, AND start cleaning out and arranging my kitchen cabinets.

Michelle, I hope everyone's feeling better soon!
Today will have to be Miserly Monday. It was an expensive weekend! First dh's 16yo truck died. Four hundred dollars later it's fixed. I just keep saying "it's cheaper than a truck payment" lol. Then dh got a ticket on our way to the auction this weekend. Thankfully the trooper reduced it to a license plate violation, so hopefully it won't be too expensive. OY!
So my list today includes:
~finish up laundry
~wash breakfast dishes
~sweep & mop kitchen & dining room
~vacuum downstairs
~knit
~pick up girls from school
~take dd to SPCA/pick her up an hour later
~make dinner
~clean out fridge

Great team names! When we were Hiroshima, we enjoyed the Hiroshima Carp team. Actually they were called the Hiroshima Koi, but we just called them the Carp.

Not much going on here... Need to do a few dishes. Want to post on craigslist, too. I have a little leftover yarn and want to make a crocheted doily to put one of my plants on (protect the surface). I'm bored.

Happy Monday everyone! I worked this morning, then met a friend for lunch. Then I came home and took a NAP! lol I should have done more cleaning but the nap sure felt better. Now I have to get ready for DD's band concert. It's going to be a long one as they are doing the high school and the jr. high together...so I will be taking a book along. Yes, I am that mother that sits and reads during her kids activities.
Leftovers for supper so no cooking tonight.DJ

This has got to be one of my top ten Mondays ever! I had lunch with my dad and step-mom, celebrated my daughter's 14th birthday, bought and installed a wireless router (all by myself) and posted my first ever blog entry.
I used to write all the time, even wrote and self-published a couple of books back in the day, and am excited about writing again.
