    Default Memorial Day Monday 5/25

Good morning. Yup, I'm off to work for the next 12 hours. We are having a cookout so I'm taking the condiments. Nothing else planned except finishing my posting after I come home and eat tonight. Hope everyone has a safe day.

Not really sure what we'll be doing. My in-laws are out of town and my Mom is out of town and my Dad is probably going to spend the day napping, so I know we won't be doing anything with them.

Holiday weekends are always a time when dh and I get the spending bug. So, I'm not sure what we'll do. We've been thinking about bunk beds for the boys, or maybe we'll take a trip to Best Buy to check out games for the family. Hard to tell. We'll try to control ourselves, but we are so good all year, it's hard not to buy a little something at the Memorial Day sales.

I'm really trying to make the weekend fun without spending $$. Today I hope to
walk younger kids to the river to throw stones (they think that's fun)
take older 3 to park for doubles tennis match
have ice cream cones and play in the sprinkler
have a uno or trivial pursuit game
think of something they like for dinner, I'm leaning to tacos
take quiet evening walk with dh
The kids have finals next week so I'd like today to be nice.

Yesterday we had a combo graduation party for my sister and hubby's bro. today is a glorious NOTHING... maybe some laundry. But I grilled for over an hour yesterday and all I have to show for it is six pieces of left over chicken.... WOW! those people can eat!

Not sure what we're doing today other than probably taking the kids to the new Star Trek movie. I'm not really in the mood, but I want to spend some time with them, so....

I'd also like to get some herbs at Home Depot. I have a GC burning a hole in my pocket.

I'm at work today - on holidays I usually get the day shift. I'm working it alone, so I'm tied to the desk all day. Brought a sandwich for lunch.

I would like to do a little housework tonight so I can enjoy the next three days I'm off, but I'll probably go down in flames. I was on evening shift last night and had to be back at 7:30 this morning, so I haven't had much sleep. I've only been here an hour and I'm already fading. Think I'll make a cup of tea.

It's kind of overcast and wet here. We've done a lot of the "taking care of loose ends" stuff over the past couple of days and visted with my parents and helped out over there. Today is going to be our slacker day mostly.

I do have a couple of hours of work to get entered so that is a have to. I also just committed to clearing ut a bag of junk in another post.

After that I think I will probably:
    ~ take care of laundry
    ~ vaccuumm
~ prep food for DH to grill
~ watch a movie with the boys and DH
~ play a game with everyone
    ~ read before bed
    ~ prep lunchs
    ~ bake something
    ~ find a tie for DS#1

    Have a great day all!!!!

We had our cookout on Saturday for ds's birthday. Today we are staying home. Dh is doing some yardwork, then we're going to chill out and watch the race that was postponed from last night.

I've already cleaned up the kitchen & dining room, put dinner in the crockpot, and started laundry. I need to finish up the laundry & pick up the living room. I also plan on finishing the Bellatrix socks I've been knitting for-EVER!

Dd is going to meet her beau's family for the first time tonight

Just trying to get caught up with Laundry, on my last day off before going back to work for the week! It's a beautiful day out here...but the kids decided to misbehave...so instead of going to a theme park...we are cleaning the house . Oh well!

good morning!! I'm planning on doing some straightening up around the LR this morning, finish putting laundry away and getting ready for school tomorrow.

This afternoon I am heading to a friend's house. Her sewing machine died and her husband just got laid off, so I'm bringing her my extra sewing machine. We'll get her comfortable with it and just socialize.

Then I'm off to the airport to pick up DH - returning from his weekend in Dallas - he's going to be one pooped puppy!!

    Have a great day all!!
