June 1 -- Already?

Can you believe it's June 1? The year is flying by! What's everyone doing on their first day of June?

We are officially out of school!

DS is playing on neighbor's slip ' slide
DD is resting from a hot softball tournament this weekend.
Exchange Student is packing to go back home to China.

I have:
~done laundry
~taken steaks out to thaw for supper
~taken DD to dentist this morning
~taken DD to get Hep A shot for mission trip to Haiti
~made grocery list
~called courthouse to assess my personal property
~visited a Battered Women's Shelter Thrift Store on way home from dentist/clinic

I'm planning to:
~go to meeting at church
~go to grocery store
~start packing for DS's & my trip to NYC

What are your frugal plans?????

Yeah for June 1st!!It has been a good day, warm and sunny. A nice breeze. I did my workout, pet chores, linens and worked on my pantry. The pool company came and opened the swimming pool, I cleaned around it and also washed off the terrace.I checked both our cherry trees..... any day now and I will be busy picking, pitting, and putting them up.Walked both dogs, paid a couple of bills, stopped in at the neighbors for a frozen limeade,planted a trumpet vine.Waiting for a friend to get off work so we can bike. Will run to the gym tonight for weights. DH is working late...Grrrrrrr.Hope you all had a fine day!

Happy June!!! I worked until 2 pm. Came home and did some laundry, dinner bubbled away all day in the crockpot! Doing some more laundry, and maybe some picking up, then reading and watching a movie!

Worked this AM-babysat this PM
Took grandson for a walk
Made salmon, baked potatoes, cole slaw for supper
Made strawberry shortcake with strawberries I picked last summer to finish them up.

Well are you sure it's really June 1st? Someone thought yesterday was, but we won't mention my name. Fiancee and I went to the next county over and got a copy of his divorce decree. Then it was
1.WM-tomato plant, pool noodle, OFF clip-on mosquito repellant, Cool Whip
2. Big Lots-1 tomato cage
3. Drug Mart- my meds
4. home to eat leftover pizza for dinner
5. took out trash-
6. scrubbed bathtub
I still have to
-do up strawberries for tomorrow's dessert-
-do dishes
-get bills ready to go in the mail tomorrow

Got up, fixed myself a cup of coffee & wrapped up in a blanket in my recliner....I stayed there for awhile. THEN...I started my day. Grands came at 11am. We all went to the library. Fixed supper, they left. Planted some annual seeds in the rain. But, oh what a beautiful rainbow across the sky.... at this moment-Life is good.
