Miserly Monday 6/8/09

Good Morning All!!!! I wasn't on much this weekend as we were out at a soccer tornament and had company staying with us as well. I took today off from work with the expectation of being completely drained. We ended up with an early game on Sunday so I got to rest up yesterday. Now I'm having and antcipation conflict. I don't know whether I'm looking more foward to getting some extra things done or laying around and reading. We'll see which draw me in more as the day goes on.

I haven't done much yet this morning. So far it's been:
~ coffee (made at home not out)
~ let the dogs out and back in
~ check e-mail and facebook
~ started listing spending from this weekend to enter on the spreadsheet (keeping track of your spending is always frugal)

I know I will at some point:
~ work outside in the yard (no lawn service fees)
~ take care of money/bills (being prepared in advance)
~ go through the fridge (what can be salvaged bfore it's wasted)
~ quick straighten (no maid service either)
~ have DH take the atroucious picture off facebook (this may sav us divorce fees )
~ read some (book was bought with a gift card)

Possibilities:
~ make up a new batch of laundry soap (cheaper than pre made)
~ play some more on the computer (not spending on etertaining out)
~ find some more yardsale items to put out next week (make money from things collecting dust
~ go through yesterdays ads to look for deals and plan shopping trips (frugal preperation)
~ cook something in the crockpot for later on in the week (no quick trip to the drive through)

All in all it's a pretty frugal day that will be going on here as it will probably be a no spend day.

****after thought **** I went back and added the ()s after I was done writting the post. I wasn't thinking intentionally frugal when I posted but it's nice that it comes out to be.

I have to work until 2pm. Then it's home to do laundry and start cleaning my disastrous house! The maintenance people are coming up thursday or friday to inspect the smoke alarms and I want to have the house looking fairly decent. I too need to clean out my fridge..I think there is some science experiments in the back...things growing that shouldn't be!! That will be my day...doesn't sound like much, but it will be plenty!!
