Miserly Monday- 6/29
Hi all!
It's a new day, and a new week! I have so much to do, but don't want to get overwhelmed. I'm trying so hard with this frugal stuff, but feel like I'm not yet getting very far, and that I have such a LONG way to go! Every time I take a step forward, it seems I take two or three back. It can be very frustrating sometimes. BUT, I am not going to give up, I am going to press on, and try to figure this frugal thing out! I do have two chuck roasts on the crockpot with onions and some onion soup (I had in pantry already) cooking away for crockpot roast sandwhiches with onions. With the leftover roast, I'll shred it, freeze it, and use it for beef fajitas. We used chuck roast that was frozen a couple of weeks ago, and it was SO good, I decided I'd use chuck roast to shred for any shredded beef I needed from now on, the flavor from it being in the crockpot was so good! I got the chuck roasts on sale for $2.29 a pound.
So, whatcha all up to today????

Yum! I worked in the garden this morning ~ watering and what-not. I picked (more like flicked) Japanese Beatles off of my favorite tree this morning (they are drowning in soapy water right now, to bad for them). Got some laundry done as well as dishes. I should go run some errands, but I think I'll wait until Wednesday to do them ~ how lazy am I?!?!? A few phone calls to make and some classwork to get done. Not a ton of stuff, but enough to know I accomplished something.

Today I'm just getting my house back on track. Had kind of a lazy week, I guess. lol The downstairs is done and I'm working on the upstairs right now (just taking a quick break). I need to catch up on laundry since my washer's been broken for a week and he just came this morning to fix it ~ YAY! When my DH and DD get back from running a few errands, we are going to have lunch and then go play at the water park.

We spent the weekend at the RV park across town so I'm busy doing laundry and putting things away. We plan to go back there next month so I'm trying to leave as much as I can in the RV so I won't have to reload.
Did dishes and a vacumned and cleaned the big bathroom.
No spending today and am planning fried chicken breasts and potatoes and a veggie for dinner.
Temp was around 104 today and dh mostly works outside so he'll be hot and tired when he gets home so I've planned a quiet evening.
Have a great one!

Today was beautiful, sunny and in the 80's.I went to the gym early and got my weights and a swim in. Did the usual morning routine, then I went with my daughter and two of the grandkids to help them shop for some summer clothes that they will need at camp. They are going to North Carolina to Camp Crestridge and Camp Ridgecrest in July. This is the same camp that I went to as a girl, and their mother went, now they are going. It is so exciting to us.My son is coming out from California and will fly out with them, then spend two weeks with us. I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off, so much to do. Happy times.Still need to get supper and I want to pull a few weeds out of the flowerbeds after it cools down. Relaxing and a movie tonight. Hope it was a good one!
