    Default Miserly Monday 8/3

Hello everyone. I'm getting ready to go to work again, only one more day thank goodness. I'm aching in places that never ached before. I'm taking spaghetti for my lunch. Hubby is working nights still so I'll probably have leftover spaghetti for dinner too and then hit the bed for some rest. I hope you all have a great day.

Off to the bank and getting a few things for BTS (shoes, some clothing- youngest clothing is getting worn out from wear!). Besides that- I have a ton of cleaning to do today, last week was VBS so I have a weeks worth of things to get caught up on! Also we will be having leftovers for lunch and dinner.

You are a hard worker Sassyclass! Hope you are getting a little rest when you can.I am getting back in the groove today. Our kids left for home yesterday, and the grandkids are coming home from camp today.I am going to dog sit for my daughter while she heads to the airport to pick them up, so I will have 5 dogs and 2 cats frolicking(fighting?) around here. I have squash and zuchinni that I need to do something with before they go bad, and I have two gallons of blackberries that our neighbor brought over to put up.So it will be a busy day. What I really want to do is sit on the porch and drink coffee. If wishes were kisses.......LOL. Need to get to the gym and do my weights, pool company is coming to clean also. Hope you all have a good one.

Today I am back to work, went in a 7:30 and don't know when I'll go home, things are still kind of flexible. I've decided it needs to be a No Spend Week. I've been recklessly shopping lately and i need to squash that habit fast. Planning on eating healthy today & started keeping my food log. The August calendar is filling up fast so I hope I can keep on track!

    Working on:
    Get under 200 lbs. 44/47lbs
    Getting Back on Track!

Today is DS's 14th birthday. I am going to drop him and DD off at the bowling alley around lunchtime. The bowling alley does a Lunch and Bowl special - 3 games, shoes, hamburger, french fries and drink for $8.00 per person. Tonight we are going to the movies to see G-Force, eat at Mellow Mushroom for dinner then come home for cake. He will open his gifts once he finally wakes up.

I need to run by Publix and pick up a birthday cake.

Run by the bank and make a deposit.

Clip and put away some coupons.

I am working from 11:30 to 3:30. Besides that I need to fix dinner and do laundry. I should also clean the bathroom and kitchen, but I think that my headache will keep me from doing that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR SON, NEELEY!

Ugh, you guys are all so ambitious! Painting your kitchens and putting them back together!

When you retire, like me and dh, I hope you do as much lolly-gaggin' as we do. We work when the mood hits (yesterday I planted some plants and lilac bushes, and he chopped wood for the winter), and be selfish and lay-about when we don't.

Today is a lolly-gag day. (My mom's term for a layabout day).

    It's raining. No walk.

I'm going to do my Flylady cleaning and that's about it.

    Cook meals.

    Knit.

Went to PO and bank on Harley to save gas
We will be eating leftovers ALL week. The stuff needs to be eaten and it is TOO hot to cook. I always cook extras and they really come in handy in this summer heat.
Hubby is home all week. So we will be doing things around the house.

It has been a very miserly Monday here! I am searching for garage sale stuff throughout my home today. So far, I've found: books, magazines, 2 musical instruments, clothing, school backpacks in perfect shape, some silk greenery arrangements, football pads/helmet, baseball glove/cleats...More than I ever dreamed since we just had a sale in June!

I'm getting donations from my church friends for more because the sale is to benefit our youth program.

We've already held one sale this summer, and are now holding a 2nd.

    Wish me luck!
