    Default Miserly Monday 12/28

Linens are being washed today. Have my thank you cards done and will get the kids to jot down theirs as well. The only errand I need to run is to the store for Cheddar cheese for the beef and bean burritos tonight for dinner. Since there is still a foot or so of snow outside, I will focus on cleaning house to keep everyone busy.

After being absent from FV for 6 months or so, I'm jumping back in with a vengeance!! Today will be spent cleaning this horribly messy house. Not to mention the 8+ loads of laundry I have taunting me from the laundry room. Waiting to see how ds is feeling, otherwise we may take a run in to town to the doctor. Also have to send out b-day invitations for ds's party this weekend and actually plan the party. Anyone have any amazing and easy science experiments for 2nd graders? We're having a mad scientist party. Ugh. Have a great day, everyone!

Sorting things to donate or take to the consignment store. Then I can finish organizing "that corner" of the basement. It has been daunting me since we moved in four years ago. Not keeping to my list of things to do! I am so easily side-tracked! However, I plan to make this a no spend day (other than the gas to haul all this stuff away).

Diva has a half-day today (mean teacher insisted that she do science and math today that mean teacher is ME).

    Today we have-
    ~made breakfast
    ~prepped split pea soup
~started the science work to go with the soup
~played a game of rummy (have to have fun too)

    Later we have to
    ~finish making the soup
    ~make some cornbread
    ~clean the kitchen
    ~empty the dishwasher
    ~attempt to clean the pantry
~enjoy some quiet time when Old Man takes Diva to NH for an errand

With some luck, I hope to
    ~get Diva's laundry sorted (finally)
~get all the Christmas gifts put away
    ~organize and purge some decorations
    ~organize the kitchen
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

well i just swept my floors and cleared away some of the gifts under the tree. Will toss some grub in the ol crockpot.Have leftovers for lunch.Cleaned and sorted my stockpile closet.realized I need more shelves!do some laundry.Plan on going for a walk tonight and enjoy the cool air.Basically once all the mediocer stuff is done just hang out with kids while i got em all home! Also have a talk with uncle about his attitude towards my sons! He knew I had kids before he gave me the house to move into but he never was around kids so I need to adjust his thinking.Teenage boys make noise!I dont think the whole house should go on lock down and be quiet just because je wants to sulk ! I am no maid as well or anything else he lauphingly refers me as.Yes I know I had to sorta take care of him but again like with my mom I am not there mom! thanks for letting me rant...

The boys love these science experiments.

Today my boys go to their first ever sleepover. I'm missing them already & they haven't even left

I have lots of laundry still to do. Gotta take the boys to their friends house, take dd17 to work. I think dd15 & I may go to the library if we have time. I'm also hooking up my new printer/scanner/copier today.

We dropped off the car at the shop this morning and picked up our rental while they fix the mirror (we were hit a few weeks ago).

I also did some cleaning up and putting away a few decorations here and there.

The rest of the day is going to be spent finishing the quilt I'm making for my new nephew. I will not stop until I finish!!! Gotta finish!

So far i have gone to the bank to make a deposit, taken dd to the book store to use her gift cards, and gotten after both kids to do their chores. Lunch is in the oven.
i still have to take ds to the book store to use his gift cards, laundry, clear the table, and exercise.
i'm sure there is more i need to do, but i'm getting over a cold and that's enough for today.

if you're wondering why i didn't take both kids to the book store at the same time, it's for my sanity. It's easier to leave one at home with the nephew and take the other than to take all 3 with me at the same time.

Not too much going on today. Just the usual (laundry, bathrooms, kitchen, etc). The weather is pretty cold today and I'd rather just not go out in it. I might work on some craft projects today to pass the time later.

    started the laundry
    put away some Christmas decorations
made robots with the kids using some leftovers boxes (that's keeping them busy for what I need to do below)

    later today:

After reading all the post, I am charged to start my day!!

Amy, I will be quilting away with you to finish my BtB quilt - didn't realize how much I had left to quilt and could not finish it last night.

Before I do anything else, I need/want to ride my stationary bicycle.

The main focus will be on paperwork - this whole week - wrapping up 2009!!

Also today I want to make my weekly menu for the rest of the week and see what, if anything, we will need from the store.

    Have a great Monday all!!

I'm enjoying being home with just #3 son vacuumed livingroom and swept kitchen. Made homemade suet for the birds, need to hang some out for the woodies since it's snowing. Dh is doing training for work all this week. I hear the windchimes ringing on the front porch the wind is kicking up. Watching the pretty snow.

After being gone a week (and my DH being home for 1/2 of that week) my house need to be cleaned. I also have to work this afternoon so it will take me a couple of days to get it in order.
    So today I plan on:
    ~working from 11:30 to 3:30
    ~making dinner
    ~cleaning the kitchen
    ~unpacking
~decluttering downstairs (kitchen, dinning room, living room and master bedroom)
    ~washing towels
~working on this week's and January's menu plan (I like to plan a month at a time)
~go through yarn stash and decide what to do next

That should be enough for today.
My goal for the week is to get my house cleaned so that I can enjoy this weekend.
