Miserly Monday, 1/4

Did I miss something? Usually this has been posted by this time of day, but I don't see it.

Today was a snow day! We had a very light layer of snow over a thick layer of ice, so schools in our area were cancelled. Of course DD still had to go to b-ball practice!


Today I:
~made potato ham chowder in CP
~made CP chicken and dressing
~did a load of laundry
~went to school and did paperwork
~vacuumed my van

Tonight I will:
~get kids organized for school
~get kids to bed early for school

Thanks for starting this! I was wondering what was going on, too! Busy busy day of running for me. I don't like days like that! I got very tired and cranky kids off to school this morning, and then it was off to town for groceries. After I finished, I picked up a Happy Meal from McDonald's to take to eat with my son at school (it's his birthday). Then it was back into town YET AGAIN to eat lunch with a friend to celebrate HER brithday. Birthdays galore! Then I quick ran into Walmart for a few things and picked the kids up from school. I made homemade pizzas, and am now waiting for the boys to come back from their cub scout meeting. Then it's cake, presents, and bedtime! Whew. I'm looking forward to going back to work tomorrow to get a break!!

Turned out to be a very miserly Monday for me, don't go out much when the roads are bad so I stayed home. When I stay home I tend not to spend any money...but, I did win 80 cents from the boy playing cribbage!

Throughout the day I cleaned more in the computer room, did 3 loads of laundry, put up my Nativity set and calmed the cat down after one of my son's friend's dog attacked her. She was just beside herself poor thing.

Didn't have to cook dinner, oldest son's gf brought all the stuff over to make dinner for us...she furnished the food & cooked it!!! Can't beat that!
