Miserly Monday 2/8

Happy Monday! Been awake most of the night and up since 4am thanks to dh. For some stupid reason he decided to stay up all night watching tv. He doesn't seem to understand how every little noise in a very quiet house sounds SO loud! Then he decided to come to bed at 4am waking me up for good. I don't get it........if you've stayed up that long why not wait until I get up, then go to bed and sleep???

Anyhoo.......

So far I've had peanut butter toast and a Mt. Dew for breakfast. Won't get anything else done until the rest of the family gets up.

Need to....

do laundry
load the dishwasher
go to town-not sure if this will get done or not. Not real happy with the prospect of sliding over the hill like dh did yesterday
Maybe catch a nap!

I'm taking my best buddy out for her birthday today

Morning all. Today is a day of phone calls. I also need to run to the bowling alley to pick up some paperwork for scholarships for yds. I will go to the gas station with the gas can too to make sure we have enough gas for the snowblower as we are supposed to get another storm. Is winter over yet?

Today I need to:
Wash the bed linens
Clean the foyer
Iron clothes
Put away the coupons I cut yesterday
Vac the basement stairs and floor
Get the boys to shovel the drive way
Dinner will be potato soup

It's a no spending day for me! Which means housework lol. I am doing my motivated moms work and reorganizing a closet or two.

Doing a couple of loads of laundry.

Trying to think what to have for dinner. Maybe chicken.

Going to knit a LOT today, in hopes of getting this baby blanket done, in order to ship it tomorrow when we go to town.

It's a pretty, sunny, COLD winter day.

sick last night, no sleep. But may still have to go to work half-day later, too much happening in the office.

What an extremely expensive day! Grocery shopping this morning, as well as purchased dd's digital camera for her birthday on Wednesday. Then I had to also buy snacks for her class for her birthday treat because the school doesn't allow homemade treats. Oh, and she informed me last night that she needed to bring drinks for 4-H tonight. Great! Thank goodness I budget $75 a month for kids' activities, etc.

I then took Arby's to school and ate with her for her special day. Her birthday isn't until Wednesday, but I have today off, so it was the best I could do!

Now I'm home, and I've started laundry and started a fire in the wood stove. I have a couple of hours before I have to pick up kids, so I plan on straightening up the house and wrapping all of dd's birthday presents.

Tonight is 4H, and I have to drag all 3 kids along being that dh is out of town tonight. Not looking forward to it, but we'll manage!

It's my lucky day. We did all the housework yesterday so nothing to do for me but enjoy. I don't even have to cook since DH got a call from his boss this morning and he had to take a truck to Pa. and finish delivering the route( night driver couldn't because of downed trees) so he had to grab a late lunch on the road. I fixed some toast and hot chocolate for my dinner. I did work 8 hours today and need to do some reading before bedtime.

Yesterday was a no spend day for me! I took back the DVD's we rented from the library and rented 3 more for DD. I did not do much around the house, because we had people over on Sunday so the house was pretty much clean! As for today? That is a different story!
