    Default Miserly Monday April, 19th

    What are your plans today?

Today I am tidying the house after the weekend.
We had a birthday party here on Friday evening. There were around 30 guests and the last one didn't leave till around 2 am.
I am getting too old for this.
On Sat. we didn't do too much at all and I am paying for it today.

    - so, tidying up
    - get dinner ready (this could be one of those days that I give in to take away or fast food so better get something prepared
    - make a planning for the rest of the week
    - doing 2 loads of laundry and hanging them up outside
    *Avril*

Mom to Laurens (30), Timothy (26), Dimmen (24), Lloyd (23) and Fiori (21).

May - no spend days 8/15
May - hanging laundry loads 3
May - no eat out 13/15
    May - baking 1/1

    Good morning,
Wow, it came too soon this morning! I was up until 12:30 last night waiting for my poor dh to get home from helping at a car accident. He is a member of our volunteer fire department, and wouldn't you know a call came in at 10:15. He just got home yesterday afternoon, and he was washing and packing his clothes because he had to fly out again this morning at 6:00. Ugh. At any rate, someone hit an elk with a small compact car on the interstate, so he obviously dropped everything and went. Needless to say, we are both a little ringy this morning!

SO... In light of getting very little sleep last night, I have opted to not shower this morning! I am taking the kids to school, and since I don't have to work today (YEAH!), I plan on coming home and possibly crawling back into bed for a bit. If I'm not tired, then I'll shower and get on with my day!

Today I need to: go grocery shopping, clean out my garden area so dh can rototill it next weekend, and clean out my closet (been dreading this one for months!!). Hopefully I can get motivated today, as it's my last day off.

    Have a great day, everyone!

I am now getting my life together after my three week sewing marathon!!

After school I have an hour of physical therapy and then an hour massage - at home.

From that point on it's anyone's bet - general clean up and gear up for the rest of the week is definitely in order!!

    Have a great Monday everyone!!

    Run some laundry
    Clean the bathroom (done)
    Cull the potatoes (done)
    Work on the garden:
lay the weed barrier on the pathways (need to make staples from coathangers first)
cull some of the wood sprouting molds from the woodpile (done)
    Get planters ready (done)
Plant the lettuces & broccoli starts I bought
Spread the mulch I bought as well as the end of the wood chippings from last year
    Work on the books:
Cull the boxes I brought home yesterday (partially done)
Go through other boxes of books (if the weather cooperates, this happens outside!)
    Clean DH's office
    Wash some windows.

My usual Monday list...too many things to do!

Today's plans are pretty much all outdoors. After sending the kids to school and having a cup of coffee, I headed out and got some yardwork done. The stumps of all of the bushes are out, so now I have to go out and fill the holes. Once that's done, I'm going to start clearing away the old, dead foliage from last year where the Shasta Daisy plants are at. I'm going to put them into planters for now and fill that hole as well.

I had wanted to do the front yard this morning and prep it for seeding, but I'm not certain if I have the time for that.

I have at least two loads of laundry to wash, dinner (steak and italian potatoes with carrots) to make and I'm waiting to see if the mailman brings my package today. Right now, I'm cooking up some chicken and sliced mushrooms over rice for lunch (yum!) and trying to avoid going anywheres today that'll cost me money.

As far as finances go, I need to make a couple of payments on the Mastercard today.

I paid some bills online before going to work.
There is a clitch in the new office phone system, we can only call out, but cannot receive calls or voicemail message, fax #s are not working for over a week. Grrrr.... Today is going to be a 'looooonnnnng' day, not much can be done.

Dinner will be bake chicken w/ cream of mushroom, stir fry veg & mushrooms.

Every time I try to plan, it never works out.

So today - instead of my planned chores:
    * went to bank to pay taxes
    * took dad to get watch repaired
    * picked up light bulbs from Home Depot
    * picked up renewal & application for passport (for my dad)
    * picked up some medications
    * picked up a few other things at another pharmacy that were on sale

Still left to do - and Im going to do it/try dang nabbit!
    * sweep & mop (perhaps after dinner?)
    * scrub bathrooms
    * number crunch - ie budget
    * quick grocery run
    * pop into dollar store for can opener

    I think I can...I think I can!!!
