Miserly Monday September 20
I am tightening by belt and am taking a miserly approach to today - definitely need to watch the pennies even more so.
However, I am getting a massage this afternoon - and this is one reason I'm inching pennies - a monthly massage really helps my body work so much better and easier.
I want to stop by the grocery store before school tomorrow to pick up ingredients for lunches for the week - Safeway cottage cheese (red and white container) with chopped apples. Need to bring coffee to make at school also.
So after school I am off to take care of a few errands, then to physical therapy for an hour and finally my massage!!
Also need to pick up the ingredients for dinner.
In the evening I want to work on appliqueing my quilt - I really think that I can complete that part by the end of October!!
What does your Monday look like?Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Mine looks light... and steamy... and sugary - Oh wait, that's my coffee. That's all I can focus on right now... coffee (Starting to think the Zombie apocalypse will occur when the world runs out of coffee beans).
I already grabbed a load of laundry out of the dryer and tossed one in (Lovely neighbor monopolized the machines until 9pm last night and I didn't want to use the dryer overnight).
It's now 6am... and I have nothing I must do for the next 23 minutes (drink more coffee)
~ Fold laundry
~ Get Diva up for school & help her get dressed (running low on cast friendly shirts)
~ Make breakfast
~ School run
~ Avoid all stores on the way home (must not shop)
~ Light candles and chant while looking at my ebay sales list (nah, just seeing if you are paying attention)
~ Tinker in the kitchen
~ Remember to get Diva from school at 1:15 (no point keeping her there for gym since she can't take it)
~ Homework help
~ Dinner prep & cooking and all that happy stuff
That's my day in a nutshell... in between I am going to try to knit. TRY
I don't know what I will be like later, it's suppose to be dreary and rainy all day... so not fibro-friendly
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Just found these forums yesterday, so I'm excited to really read them today!
My day:
- work
- meal planning for the week
- continuing to sew christmas ornaments (I'm making tiny felt owl christmas ornaments in bright colors - hope to have 30 done by the time we need to put up the tree! I just started and have 3 done...)
-clean our room and do laundry
- have dinner with DH when he finally gets home from his conference late tonight

Let me know if the ritual helps you sell V!
So far:
-Up at 5:30 with an angry Moo Cow.
-Switched clothes from washer to dryer, started new load
-Folded and put away towels
-got both kids to the doctor for their second round of flu shots (quite the drama filled production, Wesley was very unhappy...very vocally unhappy)
-brought leftovers for lunch
Plans for the rest of the day:
-work
-swap out laundry when I get home
-do dishes
-supervise Wesley while he cleans his room
-make dinner (mostaccoli casserole--it makes a double batch, will freeze the other to deliver to a friend who is recouping from surgery later in the week)
-knit.
Unmiserly of me: I did swing through the McD's drive-through as a special treat for Wesley and picked him up a hashbrown and chocolate milk. I had a pop and a bacon/cheese McGriddle. Poor kid needed a pick-me-up after the trauma of the doctor's office.McD
-wife to Z
-mommy to Dubya & Moo Cow

Hi All. I've decided to try posting on daily threads- just to stay focused.
I'm off work with a sicko kid today. The teachers are so paranoid about anyone coughing or snotty- not that I blame them.
So, I'm not happy about missing work, but I'm using the time to get stuff done. The plan:
-wash extra loads of laundry (1 done already)
-plan work wardrobe for rest of the week
-"shop" the cabinets & use what's there to cook 3 supper meals for the week
-bake cookies for kids lunches
-return some jeans and a lunch bag my mom got me for my B-day & stash the cash for my fun fund
-other than that, chill on the couch with my sicko
I would love a no-spend day today, but I will need milk, eggs and butter.
