Miserly Monday 11/8/10

Another brand new week for us to play in!! Can sure feel the holidays in the air!!

Monday, I am planning on reorganizing my LR since it has been craft central all weekend. I would love to start wrapping presents this week - so need to set up a wrapping center this week.

Shall finish writing my Christmas cards for the FV exchange - need to get some extra postage since they are oversize.

I'll be tagging up the ornaments for the two exchanges here and then they'll be good to go too.

It feels great to have so much done so early for the holidays. DH still needs to get the holiday bins from storage - I am sure I shall be shocked with everything there!!

Got to organize our closet, wash all clothes I got for the kiddos from mil's consignment shop, then organize their closets! Go to pharmacy and clean house! Hopefully get some crocheting time mixed in there as well. Happy Week All!!!

My son and my brother is suppose be here in a little while for a short stay then i have got head out and run some errands.Maby get few things done here today got long list need get done this week at least it long for me as slow as i have got in my senior years.Everone have good day.

It's dark and very overcast here, and we may see a few flakes in the air at some point.

I'm thinking about being motivated and doing something productive...just waiting for the jump into action bug to hit me.

Nope, not yet...
Maybe a list would help:
1.Linen closet, take everything out & restock
2.Wash kitchen & bathroom floors
3.Go through dresser & closet and only have things I wear /fit into in them.
4.Clean inside & top of fridge
5.Grab a a bag and
fill it with junk to toss/find home for
6.Finally go thru computer pics & organize/ get rid of junk. I'm so bad with that. Hubby has a home for everything of his on the 'puter, it's not easy sharing a 'puter with a guy like that.

7. Organize kitchen drawers, gadgets are all hodge podged here & there, time to re-do.
8. That makes me think the "tupperware" stuff could stand a re-nest too.

Ok still waiting...in the meantime I'll let you know I'll find some time to visit here, read and watch Y&R this afternoon,lol.

Hope you all have a satisfying list checking off kinda day.

This weekend was so busy, I was not able to get anything done around the condo (except a 2 hour fast-paced cleaning session with dbf before my aunt and uncle came over on Saturday). So after work (hopefully a solid 7 hours) I will come home and have a quick meal of frozen pizza with dbf before he heads out to the Bulls game and then I will have some down time, which I am looking forward to. I will plan on finishing the meal planning for the week, go to the grocery store and put some laundry in the wash. I will also try to do some more holiday planning (gifts, food I have to bring, etc.).

Good morning!
Dare I say it's FINALLY going to snow today here in the mountains of Montana?!? It's still kind of dark out but it's either foggy or snowing on the mountains across from us. It is so beautiful! Now I'm praying that it doesn't dump on me just yet, as dh is picking up the "new to us" rhino on Wednesday evening. YAY!

Today is going to be busy! Normally it's my scheduled extra day off, but I'm switching to take Thursday off as family we will be here. So.. Work for me today! During my lunch hour I need to head to Costco and buy a few items. I have a love/hate relationship with Costco. It CAN save me money, but I need to stick strictly to my list. No tubs of soy nuts or 10 pounds of avocadoes, lol...

After school I have an early parent teacher conference with one of oldest dd's teachers. She won't be available on Thursday like the other teachers. Then tonight at 7 we have a 4H meeting.

In between that time I will be doing some laundry this evening and spot cleaning. Should try to mop, but I don't know if I'll be able to squeeze it in.

Good morning ladies. First frugal thing for this day is getting back on board here.

DH is sleeping as he works nights now, I'll explain in General Chat later. I'm officially on lay-off as of today so back to the drawing board. I'm letting the sun blast through the windows for now, it feels great. I have clothes to fold, a ton of paper work to sort through and I have to find my password for Unemployment and get that going. I have newspapers to dispose of, dishes to put away and dinner to fix. I'm glad to be back and have missed you all.

Washing clothes. I just got my laundry room really clean and organized because we needed hot water repair last Thursday from the plumber and it was a wreak in there! Since it is so clean I am going to do my best to keep up with getting the laundry to the closets and off the rack from now on..I CAN do this! I can I can I can!

I pulled out the Thanksgiving plastic tub to take stock. I also made my shopping list. 3 weeks of work for 17 minutes of eating......lol.

I planned meals for the next 4 days. No groceries needed!

It is a beautiful and sunny day here, temps in the low 70's!I cleaned out the garage and the bathroom out there this morning, then went to play tennis and have lunch with my sister. I need to finish some laundry and make supper, then will watch the old boob tube tonight and organize some paperwork. Have a good afternoon!

Today wasn't bad financially. Went to the grocery store and went $1.44 over because they had some good sales and managers specials! So I was able to leave some items off the list.

Then went browsing at the craft store. It was a good feeling just looking around and not thinking I needed to buy something.

I had a stress test at the hospital this afternoon, so this morning was going to the 99 cents store to stock up on some things, get my WIC appt done(always nice to get all the milk, since my kids love milk), had a quick lunch out with ds(before my appt), and then went to the hospital for testing. By the time I got out had to get gas and pick up kiddos.

I go to class tonight, so made sure they are all ready for the sitter, baths, clothes out for tomorrow, and dinner done. Yay, we ate at home! Whew! We've been eating out the last 3 days or so. Putting a stop to that. Started stocking up for T-day too.

Been a busy somewhat stressful day here. Worked a full shift(8hours)....Was up way before cleaning out cabinets and stuff...due to remodeling being done on my apartment. Which has been a diaster for over a week....They replaced all our cabinets in the kitchen and redid our tub/shower, medicine cabinet....So I have been home after work, cleaning up after contractors and reorganizing my kitchen and cleaning as I go....Not even close to being finished and still haven't touched fixing my bathroom back yet....So exhausting! But it's getting there.....Tomorrow is another day......And hopefully will get all I need finished then on to deep cleaning my carpets with the shampooer since the contractors were in and out all day with workboots covered in muddy slush...Yuck!

after a weekend of the stomach flu (everyone but dh had it), i'm pretty sure i overdid it today as i was feeling SO much better. not 100%, but good enough to get moving. and tonight i'm just exhausted.

i had to grocery shop, take my son to the peds office to have some stitches removed, then home to disinfect from the plague. then i made dinner and did dishes and cleaned up afterward (all with hubby's help) and now i'm just pooped.
