    Default Miserly Monday, 12/20/10

    Happy Monday!! I missed the Village this weekend, I was so busy! So happy to be back in the swing of things, though! Today is our wedding anniversary; we are celebrating 13 awesome years of marriage! YAY! So absolutely blessed to be married to my best friend! I was lucky enough to have him home this weekend, and after I almost had a breakdown over all the stuff I have yet to finish, he jumped right in and helped with it all. We were up til 10:30 last night making hard candy and caramels together laughing and just enjoying each other's company. Ahhh, back to reality.

    Except the fun continues. Because he didn't leave to go back to his regular job 4 hours away yesterday, he got up and did the woodstove! YES! He literally gave me 15 minutes of time back this morning, and he's now out plowing my road with the rhino. We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground, so I would have been able to get out without it, but he was dying to use it! Men...

    Today is crazy. We have a potluck at work, but dh wants to go to an early anniversary lunch before he has to leave. So I'll bring my caramelized onion dip and bagel chips and set it out and then leave. After lunch during my lunch hour I need to scramble to find ds a shirt for the Christmas program tomorrow night. I had bought one and finally made him try it on last night, and it was way too short. Grrrr. After I drove around finding a sweater for my oldest dd's Christmas outfit yesterday. Frustrating! So I really need to figure that out. Then I need to find snacks for dd2's class for her snack tomorrow. We'll see.

    After school oldest dd has one final play practice, and then at 6 she starts her new basketball league. Ugh. Crazy coach, who schedules that the week before Christmas? Sorry, I'm getting overwhelmed again. Deep breaths...

    Default Miserly Monday, December 20th

    I'm going over to my Mom's (she's 75) and help her put up her tree. If my sons are up by that time, they are going along, too. We'll see...

    Going to do at least one load of laundry before we take off.

    I don't know what's for dinner.....

    I need to do the recycling and vacuum by the cats litterbox washing towels now. Need to call the library to renew some books. Go to the store for a few things. Go to the post office.

    Will work from home/coffee shop today. I would also like to do a little cleaning in between working today as well.

    May possibly run to target tonight to get a few essentials, but other than that, a pretty mellow day.

    I had to merge 2 posts together since 2 of you posted at about the same time.

    Relaxing day here after all the fun I posted about yesterday. Just doing some clean up and eating of leftovers. Tough job but somebody has to do it.

    I have to get more reading time in, I've been spending too much time on the 'puter and I want to finish the 9 books I have by the 3rd when they are due back. I've got a mix of mysteries and a couple fantasy books.
    Hubby and I will be staying home the rest of the week just puttering around so there shall be no money flitting out. Off to go hang the laundry.

    I get to have the bottom line of what and how much my youngest daughter's braces will cost! At least she is my last one....

    Other than that..

    I will be wrapping presents
    and it will be Homemade whole wheat Mac & Cheese for dinner!

    ~Happy Anniversary Vanessa!

    Today will be spent at home cleaning the house top to bottom and doing laundry. We're on our first day of a two week school vacation and I'm already enjoying the break. We've been on a catch up schedule(6 days a week)since October since we started the school year late.
    Of course, right now I'm taking a gingerbread cookie and water break while baby girl is napping. ~

    Hope you enjoyed your annivrsary Vanessa. I had my CT scan this morning. Got done with that and picked up a couple of applications in town. Did some clothes, dishes, and started reading another book.
    DH is at work so I'm probably heading to bed in a bit. My sinuses are killing me again. Hope to see you all in the morning.
