Miserly Monday, 2/28/11

Good morning,
Mmmmmm, coffee!! It's what's for breakfast! Along with caramels. I AM the picture of health, am I not?!? lol

I'm not doing half bad this morning. Dressed and ready for work, lunches and backpacks are packed and ready to go, and I just made the pickup payment. Now sitting back and watching the ding dongs sleep at the capitol in Wisconsin on Fox news. Good heavens, people, let's act civilized. Sorry, it just embarasses me to watch "professionals" act this way.

Today is back to reality and work. DH is gone back to his apartment for 2 weeks as he has drill next weekend (if the government doesn't shut down due to budget issues). It WOULD be a miserly Monday, but I need garbage bags in a bad way! So I will get those on my lunch hour. DD1 wants to participate in volleyball and informed me she needs a physical in order to do that. Guess I will call the ped's office to see if they can squeeze her in sometime this week. Never a dull moment!

Tonight I need to work on selling my Explorer. I listed it on Craigslist and had a few bites, but nothing that looked promising. I want that gas guzzler gone!

Good morning friends!! Crazy day here for sure and then I just looked at my planner and I am doing an assessment at 8AM for a potential student. Reving up my engines to get in gear!!

Finishing a quilt for the shower tomorrow. Cleaning up and clearing out the preschool for the shower. Making salsa. Going to the dermatologist afterr school to have FOUR spots on my face scraped and burned. Picking up DH at airport tonight.

Possible overload - but I'm facing it with a smile!!

Not so miserly today! I am picking up my new car today...and putting a hefty cash down payment down on it with my trade it.....But I love it so I guess it's worth it! I have alot of errands to run, and it's freezing rain outside today! What a day to drive my new car for the first time!

Well I finally did the dusting and vacuuming this morning. Feels good to have the place looking decent. Still need to wash the floors and vacuum the stairs.

Waiting for a ride to go shopping. Need to pick up some pet food. Then will use a coupon to get a free sandwich at a chicken place. Yea for free.

Continuing my early spring cleaning this Monday. I want to clear out all of my unused items, and have a good pile so far. The clothes I will take to Goodwill and the electronics and old movies I have listed on Listia.com. Of course the problem with Listia.com is that I get points that I can use to get new stuff – its free but I probably don’t need more stuff!

I'm doing laundry today. I fell behind, but with just the two of us, there isn't a lot.

I was going to Kohls to return some things that didn't fit, but time was running short, so will do that tomorrow.

Dinner will be what I had planned yesterday. We went to the inlaws to eat the leftovers from a get-together on Saturday. I love free food. Makes mine last longer.

Hello all my frugal friends,

I called Verizon today to see if I could change to a slower download of our FIOS (Fiber Optics) bundle (internet and telephone) and got the sweetest lady on the line.

Seems we already have the "slowest" plan although it's super fast to me!

She is giving us a $15.00 per month Customer Appreciation Credit for twelve months. Yay Verizon and yay me!
