Miserly Monday, 4/4/11
Well howdy FV'ers!!
It's been awhile! I got to that point like Darlene used to talk about. "I do the same things every day, and it's rather boring to have to write about!" lol
Which leads me to today. Same song, different verse. lol Work for me and school for my kids. They are SO ready to be done with school. Me, I need to work on making plans for the youngest for the summer. She's my "I need to be entertained every second" kid and will drive my oldest nuts while I'm working! It IS nice that the oldest wants to babysit her sibs and make some money, though.
DH moved into his new apartment this weekend, and he's loving it. And as it turns out, even though it's immensely better, it may be cheaper than what he was paying at the last place. Yay, God is good!! But wait, I'm not done! DH is trading in his super fancy, massive diesel pickup for a new economical car! Shock of all shocks! The monthly payment alone should save us around $275 a month, not to mention the gasoline savings! I'm so excited for this!
No activities tonight, other than picking up dd from basketball at 5:30. It's her last week of activities, I'm thrilled! She has kept us very busy with all of her sports, and I put my foot down on track. Soccer is going to start for the younger two, and I don't think I can swing yet another activity for her, as well.
Have an awesome day!

I hear ya! I doesn't feel like I do the same thing every day sometimes, but I find comfort in the repetitiveness. Work at my part-time job for me, preschool for DD, work for DH.
Head home this afternoon and try to tackle the laundry. I am about half way through my pregnancy and I am so freaking tired I can't see straight at times. Need to make a major to do list: one for today and one for the next month or so and then a big one for by the time baby comes.Working on Our Debt a Day at a Time:

Kids are home on Spring Break this week. Right now, they are playing happily in the office on a computer game. Love that the 3 of them are sharing turns in one computer game. The giggles coming out of there are priceless! Baby is napping, and I'm getting a ton of laundry done. Phewf!
Other than laundry, general clean-up. Our house goes on the market on Thursday and people can start coming in on Monday. We are having our baby baptized on Sunday and the whole family (26 people) are coming here afterward for a party. So, I gotta get this place IN ORDER!!!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Well, today is a LITTLE different than the norm! L & me are to be seeing a friend of mine & her little boy today @ McD's so that the kids can play & we can have some adult time!
I will probably eat as before I go & just get a drink for myself, L & I will go there straight from prek so I will make sure he gets to eat! & then of course, afterwards he will go down for a nap!!!
Laundry, straightening out desk, cleaning kitchen (minus what DH is having son do when he gets home~ if I can stand to look at it that long
)... make a meal plan for this week... a to do list for the week, & cleaning out/off my nightstand. Also pick up DS @ track practice tonight (our break from sports comes when football is over ~ track, football, weightlifting... & this coming yr he is talking about doing basketball too
However, in order for him to do sports he knows he HAS to keep his grades up & not let them dip for any reason...
I think that's all the craziness for the day... altho some of this may spill into tomorrow..
Toodles!!

We are getting ready to head to a homeschool co-op for the afternoon and then will run some errands until it is time to pick DH from work. He has agreed that having just one vehicle is working well for us and I plan on being there on time to pick him up so he won't change his mind. This evening I plan on making the kids start to sort everything in their rooms since we will be moving in 6 weeks and I don't want to move junk.

Enjoyed the fresh air after the storm last night. Had my coffee and then went to work. Did a load of laundry and then I worked in the garden weeding. I also planted more zucchini and peas. Finishing the evening watching tv and working on the computer.

I definitely agree with you about the repetitiveness It definitely can be comforting...Another day another set of schedules and agendas..I sometimes find though, that these “back in action” days are not always greeted with the same sunny enthusiasm.
I came across this inspiring article about Mondays:
