My day will be spent puttering about - I need to take DF some items he forgot to his work, then off to find practical and frugal'ish birthday gifts for DH's best friend and family, total of 2 adults and 2 kids. We've already gone and gotten 2 gifts b/c we're going to visit them shortly to celebrate but then DH decided to celebrate all of the birthdays in this one visit. Had I known he was going to do that, I'd have shopped for a 'family/group' gift. *sigh*

Probably fold and put away laundry as well - as usual, everything else is gravy.

Went grocery shopping. Was able to find some manager's specials on chicken thighs.

Went to an appointment. Get to relax and do nothing now.

I'm doing laundry...only 5 loads today. I must be doing something good. Also got all the ironing...which is my least favorite chore...all done. Fridge is cleaned out too. I've got more cleaning to do before starting supper. I'm very tired.

    Nothing spent today!

Woke up to thunder and rain and it lasted pretty much all day. The high was only 72, about 30 degrees cooker than the forecast called for.

Got two loads of laundry done. Normally I'm not home on Mondays to wash so I'm ahead. The towels ended up in the dryer but it was worth the expense because it was RAINING!!! The other load was whites and is hanging on a rack under a ceiling fan.

I spent some time on the front porch, drinking coffee and knitting. Heavenly!

We turned off the A/C to enjoy the cool. The windows have been mostly cracked instead of wide open due to rain but enough to help. Ceiling fans on low to keep the air moving nicely.

Had meeting for substitute teachers today and picked up stuff at the library.

I really enjoyed my day, can you tell?
