Miserly Monday, 10/24/11

Happy Monday!!

What a weekend we had! The kids were off from school this past Thursday thru Sunday for teachers' conventions, so I took them to Yellowstone Park. We had a great time,but I didn't sleep at all. I'm getting old, I like my own bed! So needless to say, I fell asleep and stayed asleep last night!

Today is the usual work for me and school for the kids. My oldest is changing her Halloween costume and needs a black wig and face makeup, so that's what I'll be doing over my lunch break. I also need to find some wings for youngest dd's angel costume. Never a dull moment!

Tonight there are no activities, so I'm thrilled about that! I plan on keeping up with the laundry and straightening up as I go!

Unfortunately I have some shopping to do today. Need a pair of blue shoes that I can wear to church and a new vac. sealer. The shoes can wait if I have to but with prices going up I need the new vac. sealer so I can seal up reduced for quick sale meat for the freezer. Should probably head to the outlet mall to see if they have one cheaper.

goingto pick up some odds and ends did most of the grocery shopping this weekend. walked the dogs and gonna do some laundry this afternoon making some pasta sauce Its a beautiful day here in nj cool and fall like . Hope everyone enjoys thier monday

Picked up a few things at the store to make some treats for our bake sale at work - benefits Make a Wish, so it's for a good cause. Also got some oven cleaner - something ran over in the oven, and now every time I turn it on, it burns, gives off fumes, and I end up with a 5 alarm asthma attack. Of course, the oven cleaner will have to wait for the fiancee to get home, since the severe asthmatic here isn't going to spray that either.

Smashed my thumb really good between two huge pots at work. It hurts to do ANYTHING.

Got up early and fixed DH breakfast and packed his lunch. Went to work and had an awful day. Had rehearsal after school and then came home and made Spaghetti with alfredo sauce, steamed asparagus, and garlic toast. Couldn't find my keys, so I went back to school and for some unknown reason I had put them in my desk drawer. I then came home and sauteed veggies and soaked black beans for soup tomorrow. Tomorrow all I have to do is put it all together and cook until beans are done and make cornbread.

I went to the meat shop and got ground beef & ground turkey & lunchmeat & cheese for this week. Then I bought a pretty black and white flowered Jacket for myself. Picked up some stocking stuffers for dh. Came home and worked outside planting bulbs and cleaned out my landscaping. Dh cooked hamburgers on the grill. I put potatoes in the oven.
Then after dinner worked more on cleaning up the landscaping.
