Memorial Monday
Good afternoon! Got rid of older DD's today. They are in a parade with their grandparents (antique cars). I've been cleaning the yard, and DH is FINALLY working on our deck. This is the 4th time he has rebuilt the deck
. At least we can walk on it now.
Made bed, vacuumed, dusted, and general pickup around the house
Fed baby, changed, etc.
Loaded pickup truck again
raked backyard and dumped leaves
weedwacked the backyard
Breakfast: Donut and tea
Lunch: BLT and iced tea
Dinner: Grilled chicken, corn, salad
Have a great holiday!

Mustang hope your deck hangs in there for you this time.
JG geez hope your dh is ok? If I understand you right I will send good luck wishes tomorrow and it sounds like it is a pretty special day for you.
We got up early to send off the IL's they came Sat afternoon and stayed till this morning. I am so lucky it was truly a wonderful visit. I always get a little nervous when they come, there have been a couple of miserable visits on our part and theirs but that was a long time ago. Growing up on everyone's part has really made us really appreciate and respect each other now that we are older and more mature.
FIL took the kids for ice cream both nights, took ds to WM for some shopping for him and sis for good grades. He came back with with a gameboy advanced, transformer, something else for himself and for his sis he choose a hip clip keychain, hip clip pen and I don't know probably 15 of the little music chips.
MIL brought me a Dooney & Burke back from their trip to Mexico I absolutley love it she couldn't of picked out a better style for me if I would of been there myself to pick (she is always so good at picking things for me plus I am always grateful that they are good enough to think to pick something up for me at all)
Brought back dh a really nice Air Force pocket watch and the dks it look like Christmas all over again they brought back so much for them. And before leaving FIL slipped dh 100.00, just for being the only one of the three dks that don't ask for money all the time.
I cooked the brisket the first night for dinner FIL's fav and the next night we had bbq chicken.
Since I had so throughly cleaned the house other than dishes with MIL helped me with I didn't have take any visiting time away to touch the house. And MIL and I talked to after 2 am the first night they stayed I am telling you it was a wonderful visit.
There's more but I won't bore you too death I just am so lucky to have such great IL's I know alot don't so I have to brag about mine.
Today like I said we all got up early to send the ILs off, as soon as they left I went ahead and
Swept and Mopped the entire house again to have it done for the week
Cleaned the bathrooms again to have it done for the week
Picked up around the house
MIL stripped the bed they slept on for me so I washed the sheets and put them back on the bed for the next guest (most of the time my dp's)
Vaccumed the whole house
Made all other beds
took a long nap
cooked dinner
cleaned up kitchen
replanted my root bound in-door tree (purchased at an estate auction for 1.50)
Watched Meet the Parents on Showtime (we have always gotten it free since we moved here) BTW it was such a funny/cute movie if you haven't seen it its worth watching now that it should be off the New Release expensive rack
Thats it for me, a pretty much do a few things to get it all back in order day.
This is the first week dd is out of school for the summer so I wanted to get things done early in the week so me and her can do some bonding girlie fun stuff (she's growing up too fast)
Have a nice evening
