my ds is still home today sick. so i will be spending the day home (but thats fine because i don't spend money when i'm home lol). i will be decluttering the basement today. i have bins of clothes that need to be sorted through. i have friend that give me clothes for my foster kids & i just need to organize them all & label the bins. i always feel so good after i have things organized & labeled. plus its always easier to find clothes for the foster kids according to sizes when i have them labeled.

It's one of those mornings here where I didn't want to get out of bed. It's only 10 degrees out right now and only supposed to get up to 24. It only made it up to 15 yesterday. I have to dig my car out from under a foot of snow and hopefully it will start. I have a couple of errands I really need to get done today. I am so not looking forward to starting this day.

Running around planned for the rest of the day today~ Sam's, Kmart, Joann's, and the post office. If all goes according to plan I will be done Christmas shopping today with the exception of one gift card. It's for DH's mom and her husband, to their favorite restaurant, which is in the town where they live about 40 minutes away. I'm not up for that drive today with all the other errands I'm doing!
At home, just some routine cleaning to do & I'll have to split up the bulk meats I buy at Sam's. I'd like to do some decorating and work some more on the Christmas cards, but we'll see how things go.

I've been up since 4am. Got dh up at 4am and decided to stay up since I continue to empty my bladder every 2 hours anyway from the kidney infection. Dh wants me to go back to the doctor, but I think I'll wait another week.
--Did towels this morning
--Got dh's work shirts in washer now
--Cleaned kitchen and mopped
--fed my furry critters
--changed bed sheets and made bed
--Took Mom to Drs Appointment at 9am
--Went to Krogers to stock up on sale items
--once shirts are dry I will iron later on today
--Have items ready to make Lasagna for supper
My ex-husband and ex-FIL came up the other day to see the new grandbaby. They took me and our youngest son to Red Lobster to eat and I brought my shrimp home, so I think I will make a salad with the shrimp in it.
My ex also made me two DVD's with pictures of our sons from infancy to the age of 19 with different events growing up. I watched it last night and I cried through the whole thing. Just seeing how much they have changed and things I had forgotten. But I'm ok now. It was a nice gesture on my ex's part.
You ladies have a nice day.Maggi

I am still sick with a cold. Ugh. At least I have today scheduled off work so I didn't have to call in. I may or not make it in to work tomorrow, we'll see how I feel by tomorrow morning. I had a fever most of the day yesterday. I managed to get the pork roast into the crockpot although it felt like an ordeal because I decided to brown it first so it looks more appetizing. I haven't cooked all weekend so I thought I'd make an effort to have a hot meal ready for DH when he comes home from work. Plus I already thawed it so I had to cook it. I probably will just have soup or a grilled cheese sandwich because I still don't have much of an appetite. My only 'absolutely must do' today is a load of laundry. I'm going to take a shower too, I look like a hot mess LOL
Hope everyone has a good day today.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I slept in really, really late again today. Since the last chemo I can't seem to get enough sleep -- and since that sounds like a good excuse, I'm indulging it. Wednesday I start back to work again, so tons to do these two days. I'll start with fun, and drive across town to get the last fish to difinitively complete the Big Aquarium Project. Then lots of housecleaning, if I have the energy, and working on the part time editing job -- whether I want to or not. Got to pay for those fish..... At least it's warmed up a little here, mid 50's and sunny. But cool enough to feel like winter (for those with southern blood), which is nice.
