We are having another warm day here in NC. Kids are home from school, dh is off to work. The plan today is to declutter in my sons room, make sure kids have all the stuff around for school tomorrow, and figure out what I am doing with chicken breasts for dinner.

Morning all. The boys have school today even though it is MLK day. Our school system doesnt observe this or Veterns day with a day off. We have about 5 inches of snow with more coming too. Why they didnt cancel school is beyond me. Its the one thing the boys miss about being in Georgia. More time off thru out the yr but hey they get a longer summer here so it all works out.
Anyway, I am staying home today and just doing the usual. Got the woodburning stove going and its nice and toasty in here. Dh has a half day of duty so he will need to snowblow again when he comes home. Have a good day and keep your military in your thoughts

Good morning!
It's ICY here today. Probably a good thing the kids have off school because it would have been cancelled or delayed. And a really good thing we cancelled the trip to the inlaws (because of dh's job loss/lack of $$ for gas) because we wouldn't have been able to get down there anyway.
Instead, I picked up another shift at work. I'm going in at noon. It's just a single shift, so it will be easy for me.
All I'm doing is starting a load of laundry before I leave and putting dinner in the crockpot.
Now I'm off to shower & get my butt on the road. The van is completely encased in ice, so that's going to take a while to defrost/scrape.

It is 11 degrees here, but the sun is shining for the first time in four days. I do need to go to the grocery store when DH gets home from work. I haven't been to the store since Wednesday (we had a winter storm). We are needing bread, milk, fruit and eggs.

I've been doing some decluttering and laundry today. I've also been talking with the kids about Martin Luther King, Jr. and kindness and how to be good people. My neice's birthday party is this afternoon, and we'll be going to that, without Rob, because he had to work today. Other than that...just relaxing!

Hi Y'all n Happy Monday

I hope all of y'all stay safe n warm out there!
Tis a wet, wet WET Monday here in southern Indiana!
This particular rainy day is a lazy one here, we've been watchin' some tv, eatin' french toast and just enjoying hangin' out thus far.
After the babysittin' kiddos leave for the day and that husband o' mine comes home, we're off to the Y. (We joined our new lit'l YMCA last week and are havin' a blast!)
Supper is most likely gonna be tuna patties, homemade mac n cheese, peas n applesauce...most likely.
~~Enjoy your day!!

Oh my, I wish all of you battling the snow and ice could have a day like we are having today. 76, sunshine with a slight breeze. It's perfect! Today was the day to worm the goats and trim their hoofs, and because the weather is so nice, I was able to get it done early. I was even able to let them out to graze a bit in the woods behind their pen and they really enjoyed it. Dh had to drive in to work this morning to move a crane, which takes maybe 30 minutes, but since it's a holiday, and he is guaranteed 4 hours for a call in, the time and a half overtime pay is a bonus. He is out front now laying left over brick we kept from building the house for a walkway to the front steps. Pretty sure we have enough to lay one to the back porch steps as well. Later, we are gonna run into Darien and browse a few of the antigue and rummage stores along the waterfront to see if we can find some bargains, and then we are driving over to Brunswick to eat, and then drive over to St. Simons to walk on the beach for a bit since the weather is so wonderful.
It's back to the grind tomarrow, so today we are taking full advantage of the time off from school, work and the beautiful weather.

Busy Morning here. Had to go up and over the bridge at 7 this morning to met with sister, mom and real estate agent about selling grandmas condo. Took til 11 to get everything signed and worked out. But now its started! Have stopped on the way home to pick up vaccum from repair shop, go over and correct paint bills at paint store and drop off taxes to account. Home now to work on a load of stuff in the garage. Hope all in the path of the storm are well and warm. Here its a clear 83. Can only imagine how summer will be with no cold to kill off the bugs.

Today we've just mostly been relaxing since DH is off from work.
*Did two loads of laundry
*Dinner in the crockpot
DH is fixing a computer for my cousin right now, so we'll be leaving to run errands when he's done. We'll hopefully get to Bed Bath & Beyond and Petco.Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)

Hi all...
It is an absolutely miserable weather day here-but I won't complain because of how hard this storm hit the midwest. We have lots of sleet and freezing rain, but still have power.
I did a lot of laundry this morning and hung it on racks.
Cleaned my kitchen-top to bottom
Cleaned the garage with DS so DH can pull his car in-it is supposed to get frigid here by Wednesday.
Sweet and sour meatballs in the crockpot for supper.
Just vegging and reading the rest of the day.
Have a great day all!

Our day is going just like any other. The kids are doing their lessons (I am not giving them the day off from doing their school work). They both have a full list of chores to do also. It is inauguration day here so they watched that on TV as a suppliment to a lesson on Government. We would have gone downtown to see it live at the capitol, but I do not feel it is very safe there without Chris.
Still need to cook dinner*Chris take kids to the ball parkfor some baseball and basketball practice*go for a walk with the kids and the little dog*have Chris take me to get my needle prescription refilled.
Weather is beautiful here, but a storm is coming so we better enjoy it while we can.
